"How are we doing this?" Selever asked.

"Don't know. We need ideas dude. The show's in three days and we have no sales." BF replied.

"Ugh, my mom just has to make us do her work."

BF looked at Selever for a few seconds, then scrolled on his phone.

"Not a single sale. Damnit." BF turned off his phone and set it down gently, disregarding the fact that he was frustrated.

"What's your problem? Can't we just cancel it? This was all my mom's stupid idea anyway. You know I haven't seen her ONCE fuckin' help with this whatsoever and has a fucking audacity to just make us do everything for her."

"I know your mother damn well enough and more than you to know how much paperwork and forms she fills out every fucking day for charities and her taxes. And I hate the fact that we're basically doing her work for her, but I still choose to not cancel."

"Why not? Give me a hell of a good reason."

"Think about her dude. Her goal of putting on this show was her attempt to spread some positivity during the holidays since she didn't see one person whoever she walked by with a smile on their face. Not for money or an ego, but just to see the city happy. Don't you at least give a fuck? Just a little? Don't you love your mom? Support her, help her, take care of her? At all? She loves you so much. Lately you've been taking advantage of her."

Selever started to internally rage, he humbly growled and the tips of his horns became a faded hot pink. Any angrier they would catch fire.

"Ok listen here, Roachy, I don't care about her heart. Love is a word that wusses use."

A moment of silence filled the atmosphere.

"You're fuckin' kidding me. Y'know, for someone who was desperate to exist and be in a family after being stuck in that Nothing Realm of yours for centuries, making artificial universes just for your sister to feel the warmth of her parents, you don't look grateful at all."

"Well, well, well........look who's finally deciding to stand up for himself. I'm impressed you little shit....." Selever laughed to himself, half buried in his crossed arms while Boyfriend had the anger of a bull seeing red, but looked into Selever as if he were a demon himself, trying to bring out cruel darkness first in the form of a death stare, then words. "Think you know what it truly is like to be me? Huh? Show me then."

Dead silence engulfed throughout all the house, everything frozen, but ironically not from cold. Even though BF's rage was over the top, his face faded from a crimson to a shade of straight pale, he was able to feel what colors were and weren't present of his face. Boyfriend had shake in his breaths, and spoke with a discreet, humble tone. He glanced away every now and then, with fear present within him, churning his stomach.

"We both know your mom is a demon. Had a claim to Hell's throne, and gave it up before you were born. Centuries passed by, met a runaway criminal who achieved immortality in exchange to protect her, the demon nun who even though can't get into heaven herself, works her ass off every day saving and cleansing souls so each lamb can have the opportunity to reach the pearly gates. Before, it was hard, but now she's doing just fine, handling two kids along with her other hard jobs........I don't think you truly know the extent of love your mom has for you, longer than God's........I warn you that one day, you'll really want them, no matter how much your parents annoy you.....there's more to it than it seems."

Selever burst out laughing. Boyfriend sat there devastated and disgusted, he didn't even know how to feel himself.

"Wow, Roachy, best joke I've ever heard! Like you know my mom!" Selever gradually stopped laughing and looked stern like the beginning. "Please, what could you know? Your parents never loved you..."

"You know what? I've had enough of your bullshit dude, just get out."

Selever snatched his coat from the chair to the left of him where he set it down, put it on swiftly, and quickly walked to the door. While opening it, Boyfriend wanted to say one more thing.

"Before you go..." He signaled. "You can break the news to your mom."

"About what?"

"That the show's off. Figured if anyone were to crush her goal, now working her ass off for nothing, thought it'd be you.....After all, it's not like you cared about her...right?" He said sarcastically in a merry voice.

"I'd watch that tune-."

"Save it. Just leave."

Selever left out the door, looked back it him, noticing a little amount of his own denial build inside, coming out as a headache. After he had nothing else to say, he closed the door and left.
