The night was dark and frightful with a winter storm all around the city. Not one resident was outside because of how cold it was, precisely 10 degrees. Selever sitting under his dark amaranth covers of his bed in his pajamas, lightheaded and exhausted, but not sleepy at all. His room was nearly pitch black, but the light from his side lamp was his only source of light. His room was very cold, but slightly warmer than outside, since his room never had heat. He crossed his arms, and shivered a little, constantly rubbing his arms trying to stay warm, but nothing worked. He touched one hand to another, both frozen to the touch, and caused him to feel even colder. His razor teeth slightly chattered, tearing up at his eyes, ashamed of what he said to his sister. He knew what he did was what Sarvente would say "unholy", and regrets of missing out on the opportunity to apologize to Rasazy. His regret became curiousness as he saw a sheen off the corner of his eye downward right. He slowly turned his head and saw "floating" off the floor a star with three triangles surrounding it, which reminded him of the blanket near the windowsill. He fell out of bed and thudded against the cold carpet, too much blood rushing to his head. He lifted his upper body and groaned in pain, rubbing his head. He at first tried to grab the star himself, but realized there was more to it. A hard, textured cover, then felt paper. It was a book. Selever grabbed his lamp by the handle and brought it to where he was, picking up the book so it was facing and flipped in the right direction. He caressed his finger around the shape of the cyan, sheeny star on the front cover, and studied the little details on it too. Without any fear, he opened the book where something was carved into the back of the front cover.

Rasazy's Spellbook. Don't touch.

Selever now had that feeling of deja vu, earlier in the argument that it was the book Rasazy was clutching in her arm. He thought of bringing it back to her, but decided to see what was inside. Each page was filled with ink and old fashioned borders around each page, and printed everywhere in different size fonts of ancient handwriting. Selever knew every word of it. Out of nowhere, Selever had a humongous urge to study the magic that lies within the spellbook. So he planned to sneak out of his room to go find a better and bigger space to practice. He tiptoed ever so quietly to get to his door, slowly and discreetly opening it so the door squeaked from a little to none. Let out a sigh of relief, and traveled his way down the halls that were completely black, but used to his surroundings well enough that he knows where everything is. Selever was wearing no socks, so the first feeling of the cold stone of the stair sent shivers up his spine. He was freezing and begged in his own mind to just be warm. The whole church was cold, and felt to Selever that there was a breeze somewhere. He ignored it as best he could and traveled through the window dominated hallway that had light thanks to the moon, pearly and blue as it was, as luminous as an angel's halo. One thing he knew that no one else did is that there was a hidden room in the atrium that he found when he first moved in with his parents. It was a secret door disguised as a bookshelf. He had to go up a small, narrow set of stairs to get to it, and same like his bedroom door, attempted to be as quiet as a mouse, and succeeded. He slipped in and closed the door with no problem. He came across another hallway, but this time, it was very unsettling and spooky. There were dim lit lamps of the ceiling to provide light, Selever swallowed his saliva obnoxiously and took a deep breath. With little hesitation but the desire to see what more he can do with his power, walked through the hallway until he reached a large, echoey room that he was astonished to see. He saw him, his family, Rasazy, in the form of portraits, drawings, and statues, and old magical artifacts. He didn't let what he saw distract him, he sat down on the cold, smooth floor that was like ice. He slightly shook of cold again, most of the quivering was inside his hands as he struggled to flip each page. Spells for everything lies within the book, by category. Healing, strength, defense, reflexes, illusion, reverse, curses and blessings, and dark magic. Selever got startled as he heard deep footsteps coming toward the room, confused and scared, not knowing how anybody else came in. Selever dropped the book and ran behind a wide statue, and hid. The steps were now in the room.

"Rasazy I can't believe you woke me up for this sweetie." Ruv said half asleep.

"I just want my book back." She said.

"What makes you think it's in here? Wasn't it in your brother's room?"

"Yeah but I just brought you here cause the bookshelf was actually a door in the atrium, it was open a bit and I wanted to see what was in here."

"Holy shit! I thought I closed the damn door! I thought I was the only one who knew about this room!" Selever thought.

"Really? You brought me here for no reason? You shouldn't waste time on this sweetie, you need your rest. You have a few days ahead of you that we'll need your full energy."

"I'm sorry daddy. I was bored of sleeping and I wanted to have some fun. Don't be too mad at me, please?"

Ruv laughed and stroked his fingers through Rasazy's hair, bending down to give her a kiss.

"You're lucky you're cute. But now that we know that your book isn't here, let's get you back to bed."

"Wait a minute." She said immediately. "I found it. It's actually here."

Rasazy ran into the middle of the room where the book was just lying there. She picked it up and hugged it. Ruv walked over to her and was honestly surprised that it was in the room.

"Damnit!" Selever thought.

Ruv yawned, Rasazy did too. Going on a little adventure to find her book was enough to tucker her out. She rubbed her eyes and they became heavy. Ruv picked up Rasazy and carried her, so she was secure and warm in his arms. He walked out of the room, Selever waiting for them to leave completely before he came out of hiding. He decided to go back to his room since he no longer has the custody of the spellbook anymore. But it wasn't going to be the last time he touches that book.
