Like all great tragedies in history there is always a backstory and the sad story of Oliver Hide is no different. How does a high schooler get to the point in their life where they are being wheeled into a private ambulance because of a mistake they made that they clearly never wanted to make and the endless amount of questions starting with what if ?

Ollie was just the average teenager. He had his moods, even rebellious at times but nothing out of the ordinary, but something had changed, where had the Oliver Hide that that everyone knew and loved gone.

Ollie hadn't always had a close relationship with his father David Hide but for the past three years he had chosen to move in with him. Everything was going well, for both of them, despite not knowing each other their father son bond only grew stronger by the day. A lot had changed since he moved in, his parents weren't together and his father had met a new woman, Rosa Cadenas, who Ollie had a very close bond to and was upset when she went back to Uruguay to look after her mother and soon after that Ollie and David's relationship started to go down hill, fast.

David, Faith's daughter Natalia and Connie's daughter Grace were around the same age and soon began a friendship, Ollie liked Grace but he knew she didn't feel the same so they stayed friends, he made an especially close bond with Natalia whom he went to the same school as. The friend group inevitably disbanded as Grace was king gone and Ollie had made friends with a boy named Rob Tranter, a decision which would ultimately change his life.

After some time apart Ollie and Natalia bumped into each other at their parents work after she brought her friend in, and Natalia pointing out the fact they hadn't seen each other in weeks Ollie sat looking worried, everyone close to Ollie had noticed he wasn't himself but no one could get close enough to get any answers. That day was hell for the boy. He had something on his mind he needed to tell his dad but never got the chance, it was his penultimate day with no warning of what was about to happen, as fault of his father not listening, all hell was to break loose the next day.
