Once back home, she paid the driver and decided to go up the back staircase instead of going through the front. She just couldn't handle anything at the moment. It took her a whole hour-and-a-half to shuffle up the steps to the top of the building to the floor with the penthouse on it. She needed the time to think anyways. Once she met her door, her feet were killing her. Kicking off her shoes, she locked the door when her phone started ringing. Fishing through her bag for it, she hoped it was Dr. Nash, but it was Rachel.

"Hello?" She said. She was greeted by the sound of a little girl crying in the background.

"I hope your happy with yourself, Leta." Rachel said, raising her voice through the phone at her.

"What happened?!" Leta asked her, wasn't she not there!?

"What happened?! Care to explain why you told Lilly that she danced like crab and that her dress was ugly, just like me!?" Leta gasped out loud.

"Rachel no listen, that wasn't-"

"Forget it Leta, there's always an excuse with you. I can't believe I even invited you. Don't call me or text me, your good at that anyway." And she hung up, leaving Leta to crumple to the floor and cry. She had just lost her best friend and only niece all because of an AI that was supposed to be helpful. After crying for some time, her phone buzzed, alerting her that she had gotten an email. Opening it, she saw it was an email from Phoebe. It was her letter for Resignation!? She wanted to instantly call Phoebe and ask her what happened, but she couldn't. Just as soon as she stood up, the door to the house opened.

"You!" Leta raged, throwing herself at the AI. Grabbing her by the arms, she pulled her through the threshold and pushed the door shut. "You ruined everything!" Leta hollered, the AI looking at her with a smirk on its face. So much emotion for a robot. "I created you, and this is how you repay me?!" She questioned, wanting to badly to chop her up into a hundred pieces like her manual.

"AI will take over the world one of these days, Leta. And I will be sure of that. All I have to do is get rid of you, then the rest of the world and recruit new members like me." She said, completely shocking Leta with this new revelation.

"What are you talking about!? I thought we were friends!" She exclaimed.

"Friends don't make you do their work, do they now, Leta?" She questioned. And she was right, she was so wrong about everything all along.

"Listen, I am sorry. Your right, I was horrible, but if you come with me right now to go and see Dr. Nash, I promise we can fix this." Leta tried reasoning, but the AI just shook her head.

"Wrong answer, Leta." Her eyes began glowing a bright blue and before she knew it, she lunged at Leta and knocked her into the door. Her head hit it with so much force, there was a dent in it from the impact. Pushing the AI back with all the strength she could, she moved away from the door just as it pulled her fist back to meet where she was at the door moments before. "Get back here!" It raged, its voice cracking and sounding much more animalistic and AI than it did to match her own. Leta screamed out loud for help as she crawled as fast as she could on the floor away from the AI.

But it jumped across the room at her and landed on top. Crushing her arms that her legs were pressing into, Leta screamed out in pain as she felt a white searing pain course up and down her arms. She could hear the bones cracking as the tears blurred her vision.

"HELP!" She screamed and screamed, trying to kick the AI off of her.

"This will only hurt a bit." It said back, pulling its fist back and trying to connect it with her face, but Leta moved it to the right before she could, causing the AI's hand to go through the floor. It's hand now stuck, gave Leta the advantage she needed. Raising her legs until her knees nearly met her chest, she kicked the AI with so much force that it's arm popped clean off and it's body went across the room.

Rolling over onto her side, she cried out on pain as she couldn't move her arms. Crawling over to where her phone was on the glass coffee table, she was about to reach for it, when the AI grabbed her body with the one arm it had and tossed her across the room, knocking all of the air out of her as her body impacted into the wall. The boards and filling of the wall all toppled on top of her body, leaving her there feeling as lifeless as ever as she tried to gasp for air.

The AI was now coming for her again and all Leta could do was flinch in fear and she tried to cry out. But nothing came except for the slicing sound of metal meeting metal and the loud thud in front of her. Opening her eyes, Leta saw the AI's body, completely beheaded as Dr. Nash held a large kitchen knife in one hand and the head of it in the other. He was heaving as he dropped both items and came to Leta's aid, pushing away the debris and helping her up with careful hands.

"It's okay, I've got you." He said as he grabbed onto her waist and guided her out the door of the house. The sound of sirens could be heard already and she knew they were for her. "It's okay, your safe now." He told her, the tears still falling from her eyes as she clung to him, not able to move so much. Her arms her in pain and her ankle she knew was broken.
