Yelena walked into the Alvarez apartment with her backpack. She was going to walk to school with Alex, seeing as he and she didn't hang out as much since she started dating Seth. Not that dating him was a bad thing, of course. He was quite the gentleman.

"Even straighter," she heard Lydia say as she closed the door behind her. "Be as straight as you can be!" Yelena watched in confusion as Elena looked at Penelope in confusion. Elena walked back to her room, leaving Yelena with Lydia and Penelope.

"Is Alex ready? We need to get to school before we get scolded by Sister Barbara again," Yelena asked.

"He should be ready soon," Penelope assured.

"Oh my God, you guys!" Alex exclaimed as he came out of his room. "I just got an e-mail from my baseball coach and-"

"-I made the travel team!" Schneider shouted as he entered the apartment, holding his phone up in victory. "Him," Schneider corrected, pointing at Alex. "He made the travel team."

"Oh!" Penelope squealed, hugging Alex.

"Oh, man. All those practices I took you to finally paid off. I did it!" Schneider beamed, sitting on the couch. "Him," he corrected again. "He did it."

"Congratulations, papito. I'm so proud of you," Yelena smiled, hugging her best friend.

"I'm so pumped! Travel team is the first step toward the big leagues," Alex said. "Mom. When I get there, I'm buying you a house."

"Aw. So sweet, honey," Penelope cooed, hugging Alex again.

"But it won't be near my mansion," Alex assured, pulling away from the hug. "No one wants their mom around when they're dating models. Just being real with you."

"You still have Spiderman sheets," Penelope deadpanned.

"You still have Spiderman underpants," Yelena added. "Just being real with you."

"But, congratulations, papito! That's great news!" Penelope cheered, clapping as he dragged Yelena out of the apartment.

Alex shook Yelena roughly. Yelena's eyes groggily opened before she realized what was happening. She felt her head snapping back and forth as Alex continued to shake her awake. "Alright, alright! I'm awake! Now, stop shaking me before I get whiplash," Yelena complained, holding her head as Alex stopped shaking her.

"Good. We're here! I'm so excited. Come on," Alex beckoned, hurriedly hopping out of the car and grabbing his stuff.

Yelena lazily followed, grabbing her suitcase and rolling it into the hotel lobby. Alex had done the same with his suitcase and baseball gear. Yelena sat down in one of the lobby chairs, texting Seth. They wouldn't have been able to hang out even before Alex made the travel team, seeing as Seth was visiting Russia again.

He had warned Yelena he might be moving out of the country, back to his hometown in Russia because of his grandparents. Both were getting older and his family worried for their health. In the meantime, as they were still deciding what they were going to do, Seth's mom lived with her parents whereas his dad stayed with Seth.

"Yelena! Bring your stuff. We're going up to the hotel rooms," Schneider called out to Yelena.

"'Kay," she responded, dragging her suitcase to the elevator as she looked at her phone.

She was crammed in the elevator with a little under half of the team and Schneider as the elevator slowly moved up to the fifth floor. Once the doors opened, everyone piled out, making their way to the end of the hallway where their rooms were.
