United Again (REYNICO fanfiction)

Battle

"Faster Scipio!" Reyna yells over the winds and grips his mane between her fingers.

"I'm going to die before I've even reached the battle field!" Nico said desperately trying to hold on.

They were fly through the tunnel that leads to camp barely nicking the slides of the wall and in a few seconds they were in open area again.

Reyna could see the little timber but it wasn't empty it was over run by monsters and demigods in armor. They soar over them and try to get inside flying on a circle over head.

The battle has already begun.

"Let me off." Nico said and Reyna descended, "I'm much better on the ground."

Hovering a foot above the ground Nico hops off sword in hand and looks up to Reyna.

"Come back alive Di Angelo." Reyna said and before he can respond she drives her heel slightly into Scipio side and he is air borne again.

Reyna doesn't have on any armor when she meets her first enemy. A chimera.

"Great." She mummers sarcastically as she points her sword out before her and Scipio comes to a halt.

The beast was quite large in the air it's wings moving up and down. Behind its mane was the unmistakeable snake head flicking it forked black tongue.

Reyna feels her heart increase and time slows down slightly. She takes a deep breath as it makes the first move. It bares it long teeth and snaps at Reyna as Scipio whines and his hooves meet the chimera's face.

Reyna brings her sword up as the snake tongue taste the air directly before Reyna face. With one swipe the head is disconnected from the body and falls to the battle blow.

It growls in pain and Scipio turns so that Reyna side is to the Chimera. She jabs her swords at the same moment it lunges. It huge paws were on her shoulders her sword the only thing keeping her from its jaws.

Reyna grunts as she uses her legs to hang on to Scipio back as her torso is hanging in the air over the battle below. The beast breath was hot fanning her face.

"Back!" She yells as she pushes the beast off with her sword it growled and flew back and she took the chance and stab her weapon through it's heart.

Before turning to ash its wing clips her head as she sits up. Reyna feels the warm blood trickle down her face as grabs Scipio mane for support. She blinks the dizziness away.

"Come on Scipio this battle is far from over." Reyna said and he took off going toward the ground.

As they were about a hundred feet above the timber something flew by Reyna's eyes.

Swoosh.

It takes only a moment to recognize the sound. Arrows someone was shooting arrows.

The second arrow she snatches out the air with a cruel smile and snaps it in half with a crush of her fist. Scipio descends to the ground as next to his lies a helmet stainless.

Taking the helmet she places it on her head as the blood beginning to dry. Reyna feels someone behind her and she ducks as they swipe something over head. She kicks one legs and does a complete sweep knocking whoever to the ground.

Reyna looks down and they groan and shut their eyes halfway. Their helmet has fallen off and she looks into their eyes that were clouded then shut them completely. Knitting her eyebrows she takes their spear.

A girl with blonde who was fighting off three dragon ladies when a fourth was slowly creeping behind her talons raised. Reyna aimed and without a thought let go and it found its target.
