The Murder of Delilah

Y/N's POV

I and Chloe were in the department, she and I were working on some files together, since I had asked the lieutenant to let me have a table next to Chloe, after we finished working on the files, we went to the canteen had some snacks and went back to work.

3rd Person's POV

Y/N and Chloe had almost finished their work when you received a call saying that a murder has taken place near a nightclub called LUX, Y/N and Chloe rushed to the scene, Chloe saw Dan and rushed towards him, whereas Y/N rushed towards the body of the victim and realized that it was Delilah the popular singer.

Y/N's POV

"Are there any witnesses?" I asked a police officer who had arrived before me and Chloe, "Yes, the owner of the nightclub." he replied to me, I walked towards Chloe who was arguing with Daniel about the dead shooter, I told her that we have a witness I and Chloe walked in the nightclub and saw a man playing the piano there, Chloe and I rushed towards him after we got to know that he was the witness, after getting closer to him I got a strange feeling that I know him and have met him before, but I ignored the feeling and him, instead I sat next to him and started playing p'mess around' by Ray Charles on the piano , even though I never learnt to play the piano, Chloe looked at me stunned whereas the owner of the nightclub smiled at me saying "Looks like a detective has a good taste for music,"  interrupting me (stop at 1:17)

I realized that we were here to investigate the murder not playing the piano so I got up and stood next to Chloe, who gave me a look and then proceeded to ask the the nightclub owner some questions , "So whats your name?" she asked him "Lucifer Morningstar," he replied, the moment he told us his name I realized that we were speaking with Devil himself, "Is that a stage name or something?", "God given I'm afraid." he replied, when she asked him how he survived the bullets whereas Delilah died, he replied to her question saying that its one of the benefits of being immortal, this made me believe that he really was the Devil, I didn't creep out, but it did make make me wonder if he had wings or devil face but I ignored this feeling and walked into the bar to have some gin, but as I walked near the bar my eyes fell on an attractive figure who then noticed me looking at her she walked close to me and gave me a seductive smirk, this made me feel a bit uncomfortable, I ignored her and walked to the bar and had my drink.

Y/N's POV

After getting home I did some investigation on Delilah, and found out that she and some rapper known as 2Vile had recently broken, but since it was already past midnight I decided to sleep.

Chloe's POV

"Why hasn't Y/N come yet?" I thought to myself as it was past 10:00 pm , but when I turned back I saw Y/N rushing towards me with messed up hair, "We need to go to 2Vile's place right now, I'll explain everything later." saying this he grasped me by my hand and told me to sit in his car, and straight drove to 2Vile's place, but when we got there we saw Lucifer speaking with 2Vile, "LAPD, guns down, now !" I shouted, "Detective welcome to the party, you listened to me," Lucifer said.

Y/N's POV 

Everyone dropped their guns and Chloe asked 2Vile to tell everything he knew about Delilah and why he had called the shooter, 2 days before Delilah was murdered, to which he replied saying that the shooter had met Delilah through him, he also told that if she checked about him through the shooter's phone than she'll have to arrest the half of the Hollywood, but when he referenced about Hollywood one of his friend realized about the film that Chloe had worked in when she was a teen, this made Chloe feel embarrassed and uncomfortable, I was enraged seeing my best friend being uncomfortable due to a comment he had made about her past but I controlled my anger, but when Lucifer recollected the movie's name and her nude scene, it enraged me so much that I straight away lifted Lucifer by the collar of his shirt, "Woah! someone someone just got angry." he commented on me, Chloe looked at me in awe, this made me drop Lucifer back on the ground, she then told 2Vile that they need to have a talk, but Lucifer interrupted her saying that it is a waste of time, since he had just threatened 2Vile for his life, 2Vile asked Chloe isn't it illegal to do that, to which she replied that it is a little bit and cuffed Lucifer with his hands behind his back.
