Getting off the bus I thanked the bus driver walking faster to catch up to my mom. The California air was polluted and made it almost difficult to breath. In front of my mom stood the United States Biosphere. I learned about it in school during history. Basically scientist made the sphere to create any biome and climate, any condition ever for heroes to practice search and rescue missions or other training things. I always admired it but never enough to go visit, I mean, besides today. Actually a letter came in the mail asking if someone from the household would come over to help with some big new heroes train. It seemed like a big deal so mom and I agreed to go.

We had to bring the letter as proof that we got invited and had to sign a thing saying it was ok for us to be broadcasted and that any harm towards us during the time was not the fault of the company or whatever. They asked tons of questions and I could feel myself getting nervous as I hugged my moms jacket sleeve. When the guy took the letter for authorization he gave me a sticker and a red buzzer to put on my waist saying I was going to be victim 32 out of 54 and that my mom could stand off to the side with the others. "Wait I thought I was going to be with my daughter." My mom protested holding me behind her. There was no doubt she could feel me shaking, I felt like I was going to cry. But this is going to be on live TV, people are going to see me crying. He pushed my mom away and another guy pushed me slightly as if to tell me to hurry up. I didn't have the courage to protest so I just walked down the stairs into the set up biome where the guy lead me to my spot and gave me a card. 'God this is terrifying.' He just pushed on my shoulder sitting me on the ground before leaving. I couldn't help but look around. The area was some kind of canyon or something.

Similar to the grand canyon but smaller. The walls weren't as high, definitely small enough to climb out. Maybe that's what they were going to do, climb out with us. That would be cool I guess. "Attention victims! There will be fake villains intercepting this exercise! If one approaches you do not panic. No villains or heroes are allowed to use their quirks if one does please press your red buzzer." The broadcaster said over the intercom. A loud buzzing sound screamed in the air. "Victim 3 no villains are on the field yet!" The broadcaster yelled. Victim 3 appeared on a camera pointing to the top of a ledge. A man with some gray liquid dripped from his hands."

"THAT'S A REAL VILLAIN!" Someone yelled. "Get out!" "Go!" I stood up and turned around to start running but I froze. All I saw was the heroes running up the stairs as one of the operators pulled the stairs up trapping us in the canyon. They left us here to die! But they're heroes! Maybe they were getting more equipment to defeat the villains.

"What about the victims!" "Screw them! Let's go!" No, they were leaving us to die. I'm going to die.
