About five days after burying, we left in search of a new home to get away from all the death. The pup, Mist, was left with no one to look after him so I invited him to come along. "My feet hurt. I have to go to the bathroom. I am tired. Can we stop." Complained Mist all the way threw the trip to our next camp site. We finally reached our destination. I had to make the fire and bedding while Jack when out and hunted since Mist was too young yet. After about an hour Jack finally arrived home with nothing.

"Um, Where's the food!?" I demanded

"I couldn't find one please forgive me." I could tell I was intimidating him by how he was not looking into my eyes and talking in a whimperish voice.

"I know we are in unknown territory but come on we have a pup to feed! You know what from now on I will do the honors in catching our meals ok. You stay hear and watch Mist for me. If this pup gets hurt or is killed I will kill you! Got it!" I used my alpha voice.

I ran out of camp and instantly picked up the scent of rabbit. I stopped in my tracks. Then I looked around to see if I can find the rabbit, but I had no luck. I continued to walk silently. I looked to the right nothing. I looked to the left and saw the rabbit dart out in front of me. I took of chasing it then all of a sudden my surrounds changed colors. I was confused. I continued to chase the rabbit but when I got close enough to grab it a paw came out in front of me. I stopped, looked around but nothing was there. I decided to continue to chase the rabbit and I got in close enough to grab it again. The same thing happened. There were paws instead of hands. I started to freak out because there was no one around. I finally decided to go to back to camp.

As I approached camp everything went back to normal. Then I saw another rabbit dart across the grass this time I caught it. I walked into camp, cooked the rabbit, and ate. By this time, the sun was down. "The most weirdest thing happened to me while I was out hunting." I claimed "while I was hunting I saw a rabbit. . ."

"Yeah, of corse you did you caught it." Jack rudely interrupted.

"Grr. SHUT UP!" I yelled and Jack ducked his head. "Anyway I saw a rabbit and as I would get close enough to catch it a paw came out in front of me. The weird part is there was no one in sight."

After a little while of story time we all went to bed. I woke up several times threw out the night with a mysterious pain threw out my whole body. I would get up, walk around for a few minutes, and lay back down to sleep. The next morning I was woken up with mighty scream. I was so scared that I got straight up but when I asked what was wrong Jack just ran away from me. I turned around but nothing was there. I freaked out. Why was Jack running from me? I wondered. I looked down and saw two, what looked to be wolf, paws.

I ran as fast as I could to the near by lake and saw my reflection. There was a wolf, no I was a wolf. I must have fainted because next thing I knew I was getting water thrown in my face. "I just had the weirdest dream that I was a wolf." I rubbed the sleep from my eyes.

"No that was not a dream." I heard a deep voice say.

"Dad? Is that you?" I looked up and saw Mom, Dad, my sister, Jessica, and my brother, Micheal. "It real is you! How are you here!" I asked

"We followed you scent. It took us a long time to find you because we kept losing your scent, that or you were all over the place." I didn't care I was so happy to finally see my family again. Somehow I knew that one day I would see my family again I just didn't know it would be so soon. I knew from this point forward I would have my family to guide and protect me.

I almost forgot to introduce the rest of the pack. "Follow me to my packs campsite."

"Pack?" said Mom with confusion.

"Yes, pack. My pack is very smal with one other human and a wolf pup." I explained

"Wolf pup?" Said Jessica even more confused then Mom.

"Yes, it is a long story for another time. Now come on." I ordered

"Excuse me did you just order us, young lady!" Mom spoke with a hint of surprise.

"Sorry, habit you know after being alpha and all." I explained hoping they would catch the word alpha, which they did.

"Excuse me, did you just say alpha." They all said in unison. I left them with their surprise and confusion and started my way back to camp. I heard them following me. When I got back into camp Jack was gone and the pup crying.

"What's wrong Mist?" I asked dearly conserned.

"I was all alone again. I thought you were going to leave me forever. I thought. , ." I cut mist off.

Pulling Mist closer to me I said, "Shhh, I am hear now." I continued to comfort Mist for a few hours. Mist fell asleep in my arms so I put him in his fluffy pile of bed leaves. "Now that I calmed Mist down I will tell you about how I became alpha and how my pack began. It all started when Dad lost his job. . ." I continued to tell them about my journey. By the time I finished the sun was going down.

"Well then, I can tell someone was busy ." Dad now spoke in a proud but upset tone.

"Why are you so upset Dad?" I asked

"It's just that my little girl is growing up so fast. I just hoped I could hold on a little long but now I know I can't."  I thought I saw a tear fall from his eye.

Jack still hasn't returned, I thought. Where is he? "I am going to search for a pack member, ok. You guys stay here. I will return in a jiff." With that I phased and took off in search for Jack. "JACK, JACK, WHERE ARE YOU?" I listened but I didn't here a thing. I phased into human form and continued to walk in the woods. It was so dark but thanks to my supreme dog sight I could see everything. Then I heard a twig snap. Whose there? "I demand that you come out who ever you are!" I could smell cat but with me having a human side I fought the urge to run after it. My nose was right it was a cat, a mountain lion. "Who are you!?" I demanded. The cat phased into Jack. I was so shock that I didn't hear him speak.

"Linda." He waved his hand in front of my face. "Linda."

"What?"

"Did you hear what I said?"

"No."

"I said I ran off because I was scared. There was a wolf in the camp. Where were you?"

"I know, I was the wolf." I saw him cringe.
