About three days later Jack and I finally mustered up enough courage to tell the rest of the pack. "Mom, Dad, this is Jack, he is part of my pack  and I don't want to have to hurt anyone so please be open minded about this. Jack is a mountain lion and. . ." The whole pack broke out in growls, well almost the whole pack. Mist was sleeping and I would tell him later. I growled and snarled back at them. They stopped growling because they were surprised at my domanant growl.

Mist woke up and asked, "What is going on, mom?" I was surprised not by his question but by him calling me mom.

"Mist honey, I am not your mom."

"Well, my mom is dead and you have been so much like a mom to me I figured you could be my mom." He started to cry.

"Ok, ok, you can call me mom just please don't cry. Basically Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Jessica are growling at Jack because he phases into a Mountain Lion.

"Cool!" Mist jumped into my arms. When I turned around everyone was gone. I figured that they had just gone out to hunt. Jack probably ran off again so I would have to go out and find him.

"I will be right back, but if you want to you can come along."

"Ok." I walked out of camp with the pitter patter of little wolf paws following close behind. We searched for hours and hours for Jack but we just couldn't find him.

It had been days since Jack was run off by Linda's family. He was so tired and hungry and was afraid to go back. Not only that Jack was chased so far into the woods that he couldn't find his way back, yeah he could follow their tracks they left but they did a great job in covering their tracks. Jack had searched for hours and days but he could not find the pack. Why did I have to be born different? Jack felt the warm, watery, wet tear fall down his cheek. He couldn't believe Linda would want that for him. Jack finally decided to go and lay on the ruff, uncomfortable, cold, dirty ground.

When the sun rose he got up and started to search. He heard something off in the distance, a crack of a breaking twig, and he ran. He ran for what felt like a safe distance and ran a little longer to make sure. Then he heard what sounded lightening and then he fell to the  ground and passed out. When he woke up again he found himself locked in a cage with wires. He felt the ground shifting underneath him. He heard his name and not knowing it he fell asleep again. He woke up again and this time he was in a bigger cage with another wildcat.

"So, they caught you too? Everyone seems to end up here sometime in their life," said another Mountain Cat.

"Who caught me?" Jack asked.

"Well the wild cat organization. You, yourself look poorly. I broke my hip. Luckily they found me before I died. So, what happened to you?" exclaimed the Mountain cat.

"Well, I was driven from my pack by members that didn't except me for me and I haven't eaten in days. Last night was the first time I actually slept. I just want to get back to me pack so I can be happy again. I just want to get back so I can see the female I like. One day I hope she figures out she likes me too so I can become her mate, and live the rest of my days with her by my side. I think I actually love her. Why am I telling you all of this, I don't even know you." Jack confessed

"Well, I don't know but I am finding what you are saying quite hilarious because cats are solitary creatures," she exclaimed with a hint of a laugh. Jack just got up and trotted off to be by him lonesome. "Oh, come on don't be like that you grouch." Jack found a shady spot under a tree and laid down for a while.

I saw Jack on a truck but when I ran after it, I was hit with a sleep dart and fell down tumbling. I heard about these Indian creatures. They hunt down animals and take them to a sanctuary in my home town to see if they can help the poor animals. After they get better they release them into the wild, in a place where they can keep an eye on them.

I don't know how long I was out all I know is when I woke I was strapped down to a cold silver surface. Snarling at the 5 foot 11 inch man holding his hand out to grab my jaws. They uttered some words but I couldn't make them out. I didn't know what they were talking about. I struggled under the straps. Feeling my heart rate rise by the second I started trawling and snapping at them. That was when I felt a sharp pain in my hind quarters. My vision became blurry. Within seconds I was out. When I woke again the straps were gone and my surroundings changed. Creatures were staring at me pointing. Not knowing it until I backed up there were other wolves with me.

"My my what do we have here?" A big tan and white wolf said.

When I stepped back a bit in fear I snarled, "leave me be, or be sorry!" They all started to laugh at me.

"Silence!" A huge black wolf with golden green eyes barked. Clearly he was the alpha. I could feel the power rolling off of him. I didn't cringe the least bit.

All wolves around lowered. My instinct told me to submit but I didn't listen. I decided to step forward, within seconds I was body slammed to the ground. Pain raced through my body. I wanted to get up but I feared being thrown down again.
