Backstabber

"Wake up silly! Its time for potions!" Bear laughed kindly waking me up

"Yeah come on!" Amber called as she put her tie on.

I quickly got up and threw my robes on and ran out the door. On my way to class I saw my sister , Mira sat on a bench, boys crowded around her. Shes such a whore. I scoffed and turned to class. I sat down next to Amber, Bear, and my Boyfriend Arthur. Professor Snape stood at the front of the class explaining the directions. I don't care because my eyes are glued to Arthur. He was so handsome.

"Ms. Zephyr will be working with Mr. Malfoy." Snape was clearly announcing our partners. "And Mr. Redback with Ms. kineria." My blood boiled not only did I have to work with Malfoy but MY boyfriend is paired with a girl! I rolled my eyes and sighed. Draco looked at me and smirked

"Looks like your getting paired with someone who has a brain." He sarcastically joked

"Oh shut up Malfoy." I retorted.

Taking a small knife he started to chop up the ingredients while I stirred the cauldron. I look over to see if Dracos doing it correctly. Though professor Snape was very clear in his introductions I didn't expect Draco to be able to get it right. He basically pays his way to the top of every class! Sure enough I was correct in looking over as somehow something as simple as chopping up ingredients he got it wrong.

"Malfoy your doing it wrong," I took the knife and mangled ingredients from him, "Your supposed to chop them like this." I rolled my eyes. Why did I think he even had HALF of a brain?

"Maybe your not a failure Ms. Zephyr but improvement is still necessary," Professor Snape sighed, "for example keeping an eye on your cauldron." Snape pointed to the pot and sure enough it was boiling over. I quickly dropped the knife attempting to clean the mess.

Draco laughed "And you thought I needed help?" He smirked. Merlin's beard he is such a pain! 

A while later

I flopped onto my bed with a heavy sigh of relief. I'm so glad today is over! Malfoy is just horrid! I'm still upset with him because of what he did at the party. I knew Arthur understood but I was still upset with myself because of what happened. I started to cry a little. How could I be so foolish? In the middle of my spiral Amber sat next to me on my bed.

"Hey Selene what's up? You've seemed to be a bit off lately." Amber held my hand. She was truly a good person. We had been friends since we were young because of our family's having business with each other. I looked up at her tears streaming down my face.

"No not really," I sniffled, "remember the party with the sytherins?" I asked sobbing.

"Of course I do." Amber responding cupping my face and wiping my tears.

"I was playing truth or dare and some hufflepuff jerk told me to kiss Draco!" I sobbed, "And Draco kissed me!" I cried harder. Amber softly shushed me.

"That's awful Selene I'm so sorry." He held me, "I'm sure Arthur will understand that it's not your fault."

"He does but I still feel awful! Especially because I was paired with him in potions!" I sobbed softly into Ambers hands. She re-assured me until I eventually fell asleep. I'm so lucky to have her as a friend. Shes my favorite person in the whole world. 

In the morning

I sat down in front of Amber and Bear as we chatted about the usual things, boy trouble, things we did over the summer, etc. Suddenly Draco strode into the hall, Crabbe and Goyle trailing behind him. Bear giggled. 

"What's so funny Bear?" I asked confused and honestly a little nervous. 

"Malfoy definitely just smirked at you," Bear softly giggled as Amber joined in.

I felt my face get hot, "come on guys you know that he doesn't like me! I don't like him either! I of course love Arthur." I folded my arms not genuinely angry more just jokingly angry. 

"Really? That's not what Dracos saying." A sythrin giggled from behind me. I rolled my eyes and sighed. Great. I finished talking with Bear and Amber and we headed to potions. I had to sit next to Draco because he was my assigned partner for the rest of the year! I hated him. As I sat next to him he smirked at me. Not genuinely but like- well I can't explain it but not happily! That class was torture. Draco kept scooting closer to me and putting his hands on my shoulder. It was extremely creepy and I had to tell him to stop multiple times! He's a rotten filthy slug! I walked out of the class in rage.

"Selene do you want to talk? I saw that Malfoy seems to be much more..." Amber hesitated, "touchy..." she cringed and make a fake throw up noise.

"Seriously I don't know what his problem is!" I rolled my eyes. Amber sympathetically smiled at me.  "Seriously though I'd be lost without you talking to me." I laughed and smiled at her.

"Yeah you would," she laughed with me, "Arthur probably understands and you know that he loves you." She smiled hugging me. After my last class I went to the Great Hall and told Arthur to sit next to me. I kissed him and gave him all the signs of affection that I could. I didn't have a crush on Draco and I was proving that more to everyone else rather than myself. That night I bought some sweets from some orange haired twins to give to Arthur. I love Arthur so much and I want him to know it! He's perfect and lovable and loyal and- I dropped the sweets as I opened the door.

"A-Arthur?" I asked feeling hot tears well up in my eyes. 

It was my best friend making out with my Boyfriend.
