I sighed looking up at the huge castle. "Hogwarts" I laughed to myself "Year 6 here I come," I threw my backpack back on and headed up the winding stairs. I finally made it to the great dining hall. Before walking in I stopped in the bathroom. Looking in the mirror I pushed my long, light brown hair out of my face and fixed my eyeliner. I wanted to make sure I looked ok for my friends of course. I knew nobody was going to say anything if I didn't look nice because I'm a Pureblood. Everyone knows what happens when you mess with a pureblood, I reminded myself trying to smile but all I could pick out was everything I was insecure about. I left walking back into the Great hall noticing a group of familiar faces.
One of the girls turned her head and spoke, "Well well well," She smirked, "look what the cat dragged in."
I smiled and sat next to the red haired girl. Amber Kineria. 6th year pureblood. From her curly red hair to her emerald green eyes and freckled face, she was perfect. She was a bitch but we loved her anyway.
"Hey Selene! How was your break?" The girl in front of me asked. She smiled as her straight black hair fell in front of her face. She had bright blue eyes that sparkled with excitement and wonder! She was always happy.
I smiled at her "Great! How was yours Bear?" We called her bear because she's like a teddy bear!
"Amazing! We saw so many things like.." She went on and on so I kind of stopped listening. Then there was Arthur Redback head of the Quidditch team. He had deep black hair with a bright blue stripe in the front. His hazel eyes shimmered like the night stars. He was tall, with broad shoulders, and very strong. And he was my Boyfriend. He sat next to me kissing my cheek. I've never known a man as good as him. I giggled as she kissed me. I chatted with my friends and we talked until Professor Dumbledore spoke.
"Welcome those new and old, students and staff. Let us all welcome the new students as they are sorted into their houses." Dumbledore placed the sorting hat on kid after kid. Bear is a kind soul and greeted the new fellow Gryffindors, giving them homemade cookies, and being kind to the obviously nervous new students. She is truly one of my best friends. I headed up to the Gryffindor common room.
"Honestly Bear your an inspiration to us all." Amber joked, "Anyway, did you all hear about the Slytherin party?" Amber asked with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. I sighed and smiled.
"Ok Amber, I'll go with you." I giggled.
"Me too!" Bear happily squealed.
