It was routine for the pair at this point. Ryujin waking up a little early and picking up Yeji. Always throwing her board up on her jeep and driving to different beaches. They'd stay the whole day if the weather provided them to. On the way back, Yeji would kiss the raven-haired in the car and walk into the apartment with her board. Everytime she left Ryujin a hot mess driving home.

This morning was different however. It was three days till competition -the third being the competition day- and Yeji was planning to incorporate something more into her little show. She wanted to show Ryujin, ask for her opinion, maybe grab a drink later. But, it was getting closer to noon and Yeji didn't see her in the lot outside her window.

"Yeji, you do know she has a life too right? She's the best surfer in this whole area, probably this region. She has other things to do besides being your uber." Lia said, having watched Yeji anxiously peeking out the window for the past two hours.

"I know, I know..."

"Then why are you waiting? You're holding yourself back, go drive yourself to Dock Five and surf." Lia said, turning off the TV and pulling Yeji away from the window.

"Wait-"

"Yeji, I know you want to win. You gotta go tear up the waves. Come on, I'll drive you." Lia said, leaving no room for argument.

Lia ended up taking stunning photos of Yeji while she practiced. They actually had a good time on the beach, Yeji giving herself longer time on land to do various fun activities with Lia. They drank, they played volleyball, they took funny photos... it was a nice break from the nearing competition. Yeji was about done for the day, seeing the sun getting ready to set. Lia agreed, but as they started to pack up they noticed a lone jettski out a little far. It was holding two people and a rope was attached to it.

"Is that?" Lia asked, pointing out at the wake boarder.

"I think it is." Yeji replied, staring at the somewhat blurry blob. She could identify black hair, and the color of her top. Yellow, and nearly exposing her entire back. She had black, and tight, shorts on. Yep, that was Ryujin.

"Why is she wake boarding?" Lia said, knowing Ryujin was a surfer. Yeji shrugged, and they kept watching while presumably Yuna and Chaeryeong on the jet ski did some nasty turns. Ryujin ended up flying off to the side. She could nearly hear the other twos giggles. Though, Yeji's heart sunk to her stomach in hopes she was okay.

She couldn't tell, big waves sloshing over, blocking her vision. When they dissolved into nothing but small ripples on the shore, Yeji saw three people on the jet ski now, she didn't know how three fit, and it was coming closer to shore.

"Yeji-" Lia started, about to lecture Yeji and detail why she should go home now and rest. But the orange-haired was already off, walking towards the approaching vehicle.

Yeji almost laughed when she heard Chaeryeong and Yuna calling Ryujin whipped and throwing her off. Ryujin pouted at them in the water as they steered away.

"Hey Yeddeong." Ryujin said awkwardly, swimming to shore and greeting Yeji, who seemed a little angry.

"You could've atleast told me you weren't going to surf with me today." Yeji said, her tone frustrated but her eyes soft for the woman in front of her. How could anyone be mad at her?

"I'm sorry, really, I was just excited our jet ski got out of the shop today." Ryujin said, scratching the back of her neck. That wasn't the only reason though...

"I'm sorry for getting mad at you." Yeji admitted quickly. Ryujin looked at her in confusion before giggling.

"Angry to apologetic, you really are a light switch aren't you?" Ryujin said, Yeji giving her a playful punch on her arm. They stared at eachother for a bit. Ryujin got lost in Yeji's browns, and Yeji got lost in Ryujin's browns. Lia was rolling her eyes but shaking her head knowingly while packing up everything.
