Part 9

Mojito's POV

"How was the thing I asked you to deliver?" Tanong ko dito sabay bigay ng egg sandwich na ginawa ko.

"The old man immediately grabbed it when I said your name. What is this, My Lady?" He said in confusion habang sinusuri ang sandwich.

"It's nothing more than a sandwich, bread with eggs inside. Don't worry, wala yang lason. I don't harbor any ill intention towards you. Duh." I explained.

I forgot. Wala nga palang egg sandwich sa mundong to pssh. What a shame.

"Alright. You did a good job. How many days it will take?" Tanong ko dito habang ngumunguya. Nilunok muna nito ang egg sandwich bago sumagot.

"He said 2 days and he also said that you have to come there personally to get that." Sagot lang nito habang pokus parin sa sandwich. Amaze na amaze kya?

"Alright. I will ask Miltiades the jerk so you can be my guard that day. That alley isn't safe." Tumango lang ito at kumuha ulit ng sandwich.

"Like the food?" Tanong ko ng nakangiti.

"O-of course my lady." Nautal pa ito sa biglaan kong tanong and awkwardly smile. Parang kanina lang ang suspicious ng tingin mo sa pagkain ah tapos ngayon ikaw pa nakaubos.

"HAHAHAHA see naubos mo na pero di ka pa namamatay." Napahalakhak na lang ako dahil napakamot na lang ito sa batok sa sobrang hiya.

"It's good that you like it. I sneak into the kitchen of the palace to get the ingredients since their hostility towards me is way too high." Sabi ko habang nililigpit na ang pinaglagyan ng sandwich.

"Ahm about the thing you ask to deliver my lady." Nag-aalangan na saad nito.

"What about that?" I asked.

"How did you know that someone in that dark alley can install changing color mana in that thing? There are so many well-known craftsmen from the decent shops who can do that." He curiously asked.

They say curiosity kills the cat. Kastor might literally die if he knows too much. Let's just say a few things.

"I know that old man and he is the only person I can put my trust in to do this. Who knows if that witch Aileen has ears on those decent shops you're mentioning." I simply said.

Tumango na lang ito. I also never know that old man but Morpheus' memories are really helpful. I never thought she knows someone talented like that old man.

Oh my good grief, I'm ecstatic. This is the kind of feeling I miss. This upsurge of joy is truly remarkable. Who knew there was so much fun in this world? At first, I only looked at the other side, which was the wrong side, so I didn't find anything to enjoy in this world.

Unfortunately, my time here is limited. I should have explored this world more if I had known magic existed here.

Two days of waiting is enough for me to carry out my plan and deliver the final blow. Just you wait Morpheus Astaire, I won't just fulfill your wish. I will let you rest in peace without regrets.

"Anyway Kastor, when will your training all day everyday in this training facility end? Did you do something to Miltiades para parusahan ka ng ganito?" Tanong ko rito.

"I don't know either, My Lady. But, it happened after the day he saw you with me. That was my break time and maybe he thinks I was neglecting my responsibilities. You know how strict your brothers are when it comes to their subordinates' duty , Lady Morpheus." Paliwanag nito.

Tsk. That, I believe, is not the case. He's torturing Kastor because he saw him talking to me. Miltiades could be retaliating for how rude I was to him when he came to visit that night. Besides, he's the type of bastard who likes holding grudges.

"From injuring Aileen to befriending the knight. What comes next? Befriending all of the Dukedom's employees?"

Oh f*ck. What's the matter with these people? I kept seeing them everywhere I went. First, there's Miltiades and Aileen. Then, I happened to run into the Duke just a while ago. And now this ice creama deputek na Cleryvan na ito. Tsk.

"G-greetings, Captain Cleryvan!" Agad na napatayo si Kastor at binati ito. Pagkatapos ay bumalik na rin pag-training kaya't naiwan ako dito kasama ang so called 'eldest brother' ni Morpheus Astaire.

"Strange. You're not saying anything." He coldly said.

Tumayo na ako and our eyes met.

"It's strange too. How you approach me first... Young Lord Cleryvan." He seemed a little surprised at how I called him by his name and not 'brother'.

What's surprising Cleryvan? You never treated your real sister Morpheus as your 'sister' anyway.

"Oh I forgot. I apologize for being impolite." I slightly bow. "Greetings, Young Lord Cleryvan." Sabi ko at nagsimula nang maglakad paalis na harapan niya. Nakakailang hakbang palang ako ng magsalita ito ulit. His back is facing my back for sure.

"What's wrong with you Morpheus?" By the sound of his voice, he seems annoyed.

"What do you mean ,Young Lord? Is my way of greeting not perfect? I apologize if it is. I'm still practicing on how to perfectly do it. Worry not Young Lord, the second time I greet you will be better than the first." Magalang na sabi ko dito pagkatapos ay umalis na at di na hinintay ang rerebut pa nito. Malay ko ba kung armalite din ang bunganga nyan ni Cleryvan katulad ni Miltiades.

Mabuti naman at masunurin ang Kastor na yon. Halos saksakin ko pa naman sya sa isip ko hanggang mamatay nung malaman ko na sya ang rescuer nung gabing yon tapos yung bobang Aileen na yon ang una nyang niligtas.

*Flashback*

"What do you need?" I seriously asked him.

Mukha itong nag-aalinlangan na kinakabahan pero pinilit parin nitong magsalita ng akmang aalis na ako.

"My Lady, I...I... How are you now? I know you wouldn't forgive that easily after what I've done but pl--- Bakit ano bang ginawa mo? You said you saved me right? What are you apologizing for?" Sarkastikong putol ko sa sinasabi nito.

"I...I...--- "I what?"  Nakakairita ang bagal magsalita.

"Lady Morpheus, I sincerely apologize for what happened that night. I didn't realize you were in critical condition at that time, so I rescued Lady Aileen before you. I didn't know how to react and was terrified when I saw you two drowning in that lake. Nalaman ko na lang na mas malala ang kondisyon mo nung naiahon na kita. Malapit ka nang mawalan ng malay noon at huli na nang narealize ko na nagkamali ako." Mabilis na saad nito.

*End of flashback*

According to Kastor, he noticed that Aileen seems fine after he rescued her at tinabihan pa nga nito ang original Morpheus noon but not to revive her. May kung anong binulong daw ang bruhildang Aileen na yon kay Morpheus. After that dumating na ang iba pang tao ng dukedom including the brothers and the Duke and as usual nagpanggap na nahimatay ang b*tch na ikinagulat naman ni Kastor daw noon.

I was imagining Kastor's reaction when he saw Aileen's fake faint. Maybe it's like : (╬⁽⁽ ⁰ ⁾⁾ Д ⁽⁽ ⁰ ⁾⁾).

Kastor swore he would do whatever I asked of him to atone for his sin. He strongly regrets remaining silent all this time while everyone in the house blames Morpheus for the accident, despite the fact that Morpheus was the one who nearly died that night.

The real Morpheus died though. But I can't say that to Kastor. Aileen is stupid for ignoring Kastor's presence that night. Akala nya lahat ng tao sa bahay ng Astaire ay kasing bobobo nila. 

It's a fortunate meeting with Kastor. Malaking tulong sya sa pagtupad ng plano ko.  Perhaps Goddesses Gin is helping. That scam goddess is not that heartless, I guess.
