Birthday

Everyone has been comfortable with the arrangements that has been made. The four ladies had their fun, friendly, uncommitted hookups while their assistants continued to talk about them and their own relationships. 

October 20

Birthdays are one of the most important days in one's life, but for Y/N, it isn't her favorite. Every year she gets older, her birthday is the day she painfully remembers her parents and isolate herself from parties and celebrations. Ironically, it's the day everyone celebrates and remembers her, but she feels the loneliest because her loved ones aren't there, her mom & dad.

Y/N's Pov -

I wake up and realize what today is. I prepare myself for work, yes, I still work on my birthday. It's better that way. I check my phone, looking at all the greetings and videos people have gifted me. That always makes my day before everything else goes south. 

I head to my office, already overwhelmed by everyone else greeting me. I see Gummy Bears on my desk. "Hailee", I mumble.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/NNNN!!!!", Hailee jumps behind me with balloons.

"OH MY GOD HAILEE! You're going to give me a heart attack someday !", I say surprised.

"Sorry, but here you go." She hands me two big ass balloons and a card.

"Thank you, Hailee, I appreciate it so much!" I hug her.

"I didn't get you a gift cause I'm already here", She jokes making me roll my eyes.

"So are you celebrating with the girls ?" She raises her eyebrows, forming a devilish grin.

"Oh, no, I didn't tell them, they don't know. It's fine, I'll do the usual today." I mutter.

"Y/N, this is a very special year for you, you should celebrate it with them. They would want to know." Hailee insists. "I know, but we've become friends again and I don't want to get too emotionally attached." 

"Isn't that what you call a 'friend'", she sarcastically says. "Yeah, but it's complicated and I just want to celebrate my birthday normally, it's not a big deal."

"Ok, whatever you say." Hailee leaves my office.

Orphanage

I walk into the orphanage, I used to live in, greeting the kids, teachers, staff. I follow the nuns around the institute, looking at all the kids playing around and laughing.

Every year I visit this orphanage on my birthday. I celebrated most of them here, so I like to continue the tradition. 

"Thank you Y/N for your donations and all the funds you give here, you've been really helpful. I'm sure your parents would be so proud of you. Happy Birthday." The nuns thank me and leave me in the green field with a few children.

"Y/N! You came back!" One of the little girls hug me. "Of course I'm back, I wouldn't forget you." I hug all the other kids that ran to me. We ran around and played hide & seek, having so much fun. 

"You'll come back right ?" A little boy hugged my leg, giving me puppy eyes. "I promise, I'll come back." I cup his cheeks, holding my pinky out. "You can't break it, you pinky promised." They all cutely state. "I would never break a pinky promise", I assure. "Bye", I hug them. "Bye bye Y/N", they wave.

As I leave the orphanage and say goodbye to the others, a teen approaches me. "Hi Y/N, happy birthday !" She gives me a teddy bear. "Thank you, you're so sweet." I hug her. "I want to be like you when I grow up", she tells me. "That's great, don't forget to visit me when you become an incredible woman, ok ?"I reply. "I'll remember that", she says as I leave, waving everyone goodbye.

Hailee's Pov -

I check all the documents, finishing my work for the day as Scarlett, Lizzie, and Brie show up. "Hi, what are you guys doing here ?" I ask. "We wanted to surprise Y/N, she hasn't answered our calls or read our messages." They say.

"Do you really not know ?" I ask confused. Do they not wonder what her face is doing all over social media, I mean she is a celebrity after all. "Know what ?" Brie furrows her eyebrows.

"It's Y/N's Birthday!" I say shocked at their lack of knowledge. "What ?" Scarlett says shocked while Lizzie looks around realizing what the decoration was for. "I mean, for fucking 24/7, I would at least remember their birthday. Goodluck for remembering your anniversary", I sarcastically look at them. "We aren't having sex", Brie tries denying. "Umhm, don't try denying anything ladies. Y/N knows this and you should too. I know everything." I look at them, smirking at their shocked state.

"You aren't really that good with hiding things which is shocking to others since you're actresses, but it's not for me...and your assistants." I write down an address on a sticky note. "You don't need to tell us anything cause we already know", I hand the piece of paper to them.

"What's this", Lizzie looks at an unfamiliar address. "That's where your boss/girlfriend/ex-girlfriend/friend is right now." I say, heading to the elevator. "She isn't our boss", Scarlett scoffs. "Oh, but she is, you work for her, remember. 2 more months left." They stare at me as I get into the elevator.

"I would get her vanilla cupcakes if I were you", I mention as the elevator closes.

Cemetery 

Y/N's Pov -

I head to my parent's grave and lay two flowers for each of them. I lay a mat down, putting the teddy bear I got beside me. I lay down looking at the sunset, I talk to them as I look at the sky. "It's my special day mom, you always said that I got even more prettier each year. You always said that I would grow to be the most gorgeous lady, dad." I smile as a tear fall from my eyes.

"But, I'm happier now. I've met three incredible women, and they make me so happy. They helped me so much this year and they make me feel so special just like how you used to make me feel. You would've loved them." I cry happy tears as I hug the teddy bear. 

"We would've loved them too", three familiar voices say.

I sit up and see Scarlett, Lizzie, and Brie. "What are you doing here ?" I hug them. "Hailee told us, and she mentioned getting you something." They present four cupcakes.

"They're vanilla", Lizzie says. "How did you know?" "Hailee." We say laughing. "Why vanilla ?" Brie asks curious.

"When I was a kid, my parents would always get me a vanilla cake and we would celebrate, just the three of us. It's simple and plain, but those were the fun and memorable times." I say as we sit, facing my parents.

"Well, introduce us", Scarlett playfully nudges my shoulder.

"Mom, Dad, this is Scarlett, Lizzie, and Brie. They're my gi-friends, and they've made me the happiest." I look at them.

"Hi mom and dad, I'm Lizzie !" She smiles widely. "I'm Brie, it's great finally seeing you", She rubs my back. "I'm Scarlett, I now know where Y/N gets her beauty." She looks at their pictures, smiling at me.

"Let's light the cupcakes", Lizzie inserts the candles and light each cupcake. We all take one and they sit closer to me.

"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, happy birthday. Happy Birthday Y/N !" They sing beautifully and tell me to make a wish.

I close my eyes and make a wish as a tear fall from my eye. I blow out the candles and I smile at them. "Thank you", I hug them tightly, looking up the sky. "Happy Birthday Y/N", they wipe my tears. "I'm so glad that you're part of this world", "You make everyday better", "You're special to us Y/N, so special." They say.

We eat the cupcakes and talk for hours with my parents. This is the best birthday I've had since a very long time because of them.

"Do they remain friends ?"
