Dear diary,

Urghh! Here we go again. What should I say?

Vanessa ran away from the house, as usual.

Dad is stressing out, and so are Mom and Niall...Niall is going to become a father. Ash is pregnant. Her delivery is next month.

What can I say? I have a feeling that my life is going to change because I am throwing away this diary.

*Vida's POV*

I was about the throw the diary out of my window. Just then, the door of my room flew open and a man was standing in front of me. It was my father, Matt.

"I need to talk to you", he said.

Bringing my eyebrows together, I said, "Why?"

Dad exhaled.

He never does that, something must be wrong.

"Meet me in my office, Vida", he said seriously.

What happened? Is it about Vanessa running away? I honestly did not know anything about that.

I keep the diary on the table, got up from the chair and walked out of the room.

I went downstairs and walked into my father's office without knocking.

Dad was sitting on his chair and glaring at his phone.

"What happened?", I ask.

Just then, Mom and Niall walked in as well.

I looked at them and then looked at my Dad.

We don't have family meetings or interventions unless it is important.

"We have a problem", says Dad.

"We know Dad, Vanessa ran away, I am on it. I will find her", says Niall.

"It's not that", says Dad.

He looked at me and then looked at my Mom and Niall.

"I had a negotiation with someone to give Vanessa's hand in marriage, I thought that could be the way to handle her running away situation. But, turns out she ran away because she was in love with someone", says my Dad.

He glanced at me again.

Ok! It's official! This is bad news, for me.

Maybe if...

"Dad! I need to go. Vanessa ran away, she will come back, the usual thing, I have some work to do", I say taking a step back.

"Vida, you are not going anywhere, this is about you", he said.

He was angry.

Ok, that was a bad idea.

"So, what are we going to do now?", asks Niall.

Dad looked at me.

"I was thinking since I cannot take a step back, why don't we give Vida instead of Vanessa", he says.

My mouth went wide open. I froze where I was standing.

THAT IS WHAT THOSE LOOKS MEANT!

I looked at Mom. She did not react which means she knew about this.

"Dad! I am not an object to just hand me over", I say.

"I know! I know! But I made a deal and I cannot take a step back. They are important people", says Dad.
