*Vida's POV*
"Have you ever wondered what's it like to fall in love?", asks Vanessa.
"Nothing! But foolish", I say.
"Vida! Think about it", says Vanessa.
"Not going to waste my thoughts on that", I say.
"You are always like this, come out of your thoughts and books, look at the beautiful world", says Vanessa.
"Vanessa, we are neither in high school nor in drama class", I say.
Vanessa chuckles.
"What have you been up to?", asks Vanessa.
"I'm going on a trek all by myself to explore nature ", I say.
"Wow! Did you ask Mom and Dad?", asks Vanessa.
"No!", I say.
"You think they will allow?", asks Vanessa.
"I'm going on that when you and I go to Ireland to see grandma and grandpa, next month ", I say.
"I'm proud of you sister!", says Vanessa.
I smile.
Both of us hear the sound of a horn of a car.
We run down the stairs and go and open the main door.
We knew who it was. We were waiting for this person since last week.
"Finally! I'll have one person whom I can have fun with", says Vanessa.
"I didn't know that he would enter from the main door?", I say.
"Sisters! I'm home!", says Niall.
Vanessa and I smile and go and hug him.
"I missed you", I say.
"Me too!", says Niall.
"What's new Vanessa?", asks Niall.
"Nothing! Just been wanting to get out of the house", says Vanessa.
At lunch, our family had some interesting conversations like this.
"Vida never listens to anyone Matt! You know about her, now she wants to go on a trek, all alone, in Ireland", says my Mom.
"Let her do what she wants Briana", says my Dad.
"No! Dad! She's still a kid, she's still stubborn and needs people to take care of her", says Niall teasing me.
"Talking about yourself like that doesn't make sense Niall", I say.
"Savage!", says Vanessa.
"Anyways, we've dinner today with your father's friend and his family, I want all three of you to come", says my Mom.
"Especially Vida Horan!", says my Mom.
"I'm not coming to any stupid dinner party, I've to finish writing my book", I say.
"This is the reason, I'm worried about her, Matt, please say something", says my Mom.
"Vida! Darling! I think you should come to the party", says my Dad.
"Come on Vida! It's not like you'll come to a party and some guy will fall in love with you", says Niall sarcastically.
I hit Niall on his head.
He gasps and spills water on my shirt.
I gasp.
"This is my favourite shirt", I say.
I spill water on him too. He gasps.
"Vida, Niall, I don't mean to interrupt you guys, but I think it's almost been 18 years since our nanny left the house, so if you don't mind, please start behaving like adults", says Vanessa.
Niall and I keep quiet.
"Say sorry to each other", says my Mom.
"Never! He was the one who started it!", I say.
"No! It was her!", says Niall.
