"Hey Luke, you wanna come with me to Starbucks?" Hearing Rhea asks. I can tell that she's currently feeling bored, and so am I as well.

Since there's nothing to do right now. I figures it'll be great actually to go, but before I can even open my mouth. A screech just blasted itself out from the inside of the door like an unexpected tsunami that just hit the land, "I'LL GO!!" The culprit, a screaming Mikey, runs in and took the spotlight. Rhea laughs at the presentation, clearly amused, "Sure, whatever! Let's go!"

Once we get there, after a whole pointless argument of who should drive and for who should do the favor of ordering the drinks for us. In the end, it was Mikey who goes to place the orders, very much sulking over losing Rock-Paper-Scissors Game. When he asks for what Rhea wanted, she lights up like someone just asked if she wanted another cookie when obviously been told she could only have one, and answers enthusiastically. Though, I wasn't paying much attention at she was saying for what she wanted. After she's done and is now obviously distracted at whatever is outside she's gazing at. I walked over to Mikey, who's waiting for our drinks, to discuss something I been meaning to say.

"Hey, Michael, um-"

"Shut up." He cuts me off midway in a rude and blatant tone, not caring what I'm about say.

"Damn! Alright, ok." I put my hands up in front of me. I feel like, awkward now, not knowing what to say or do to how he just snapped at me for no reason.

"I mean, I'm in a bad mood I'm sorry. Just, things are upsetting me. What were you gonna say?" He quickly tries to cover himself up.

"I-I just was asking what you were getting, because I'm kinda trying to take my mind off of her flirting with the cashier over there." Me, flicking me head a little bit over to the cashier to indicate my point.

"And?! You're just gonna let that happen? Dude she's your soulmate!" So he sees, catches on and tries to defend me. "I dunno, I'm not really feeling it with her... I'm not saying that I don't like her, it's just that I don't feel like she's the one... Y'know," I shrug.

" 'Y'know' my ass! That's impossible dude! It's on your w r i s t . You can't do anything about it, it's set in stone! It's meant to be! It's destiny! Your fated one! " Explaining as he yells. 'He's right, I can't, shouldn't, contradict it. But... It just doesn't feel right though.'

"But I-"

"No 'buts', keep your girl man."

"Hmm, yet just 30 minutes ago. I heard how someone was being upset about her stealing me away and that they don't want that to happen." I stared dumbly at him then smirk at him as a come back and revenge for snapping back at me earlier, riling him up. "You heard that? Was I that loud?! But other than that, it's a friendship thing, she's the one you're spending your life with. You can't lose that. It just doesn't work that way man!"

"But if we're soulmates, then she wouldn't leave, right?" I try confirm myself despite doubt sipping into me like a sponge in water. "Yeah, but, fate puts you together, then it's in your hand to keep it. Even in the parts where it doesn't feel right." He clarifies, breaking down the wall I just tried to built in order to keep that very same thing he just said back.

'Oh my God, he's right!'

You have to work to keep a relationship, that's right! I look over at her, giggling with the cashier, flirting like she never found me, her supposed soulmate, at all. "Hey, um, Rhea, I need to ask you something." I call over to her nervously as she walks over.

"Were you flirting with that guy?" Mikey asks, before I even get a chance to try to open my mouth. I feel a slight blush powder my cheeks, but despite that, I'm kinda glad that he was the one who asked because I know I was way too insecure right now to even do that. "Huh? Oh! No, why?" She asks back, color leaving her face and a confused anxiety replacing it.
