This time, I do run. I run to the exit/entrance of the daycare. I push through the door open when a sharp stab shoots up through both of my arms. I scream in pain. I look down at my arms. Some blood is soaking through the sleeves of my hoodie. I'm lifted in the air and I see that Moon is carrying me. "Moon? What are you doing? Let me go!" I scream at him. "Quiet, kid!" He shouts at me. I'm alarmed but don't let up. "Moon! Let me go, now! You're hurting me!" I kick and try to squirm out of his grip, but it's not possible. "Fine. If you won't shut up, I'll make you be quiet!" Moon reaches into his pocket and pulls out what looks like cough drops. I can't tell what they are exactly in the dark. "Eat it." He shoves them in my mouth. I am so surprised that I accidentally swallow them. "Ew! What was that?" I ask, panicked. "Moondrops. They help kids go to sleep and in this case, to help make my job easier. Goodnight, starlight." I want to speak but then I start to feel dizzy I feel like fainting My eyes close and I fall to sleep.

 * * *I wakeup, stiff. I try to stand up but find that I cannot move. I sit in a chair, roped up. I struggle to move. "Now, I wouldn't do that if I were you." A voicecomes from the darkness. Sun appears. "Sun?! Help me out of here!" I cry. Suncomes up to me, inches away from my face "No can do... new friend." I'm shocked.Sun is a completely different person. I'm crying as Sun walks away. "No onelikes your sad face, Callie. So let's give you a smile!" He says brightly. I'mleft there sobbing but Sun soon returns. I notice that he has a piece of paperthat he leaves on a nearby help. "Saved for later." He mutters. He smiles as heapproaches me. He grabs my face and forces a smile onto my face with hisfingers. "See? There. A smile!" He laughs. He then grabs a piece of duct tapeand tapes my mouth shut. "You're frantic crying was really starting to botherme. I didn't think of you as a whiner, Callie. God, you're worse than thetoddlers." Sun rolls his eyes. My eyes flare with rage as he says this. He'smaking me look like a fool and I have no idea why. He and Moon have changed.Sun mentioned something about... being controlled by someone? I don't even knowhow that's possible. Sun goes back to the piece of paper he left on the tableand peels something off of it. He lifts a finger in front of me and taps mynose. "Boop!" He laughs again. I look down at my nose to see that a gold starhas been adorned on it. I continue to bubble up with anger. "Oh, I know whatelse you need! Glitter glue! Or maybe some yarn or googly eyes? You love artsand crafts, don't you, Callie? Oh I forgot. You can't talk!" Sun erupts intomore laughter. Now's my chance to escape, now that he's away for a while. I tryto wiggle my right arm out of the rope and succeed and in a matter of minutes,I'm out. I am careful not to make any noise, as I do not know where Moon is. Hecould be anywhere. At this point, I am just desperate to escape this place. Iburst out of the doors in time to hear Sun discover that I have escaped. "Moon! She's gone! Go find her!" Sun orders. I dash up the stairs and try to look fora place to hide. In my panicked state, I don't notice a robot in front of meuntil after I run into it. "Augh!" I yell as I fall to the ground. It's a S.TA.F.F.bot and it shines a flashlight in my face and an alarm goes off. Uh oh. Well, that's not good. I whip my head around trying to find a good place to hide frommy pursuers. I check my watch. 11:00 pm. Crap. Obviously, the building has closedand it reopens at 6:00 am. Mom would kill me if she saw I arrived home at like6:30. But what choice do I have? I just have to stay here, hidden, until 6:00so I can escape this place. I decide to stay in a bathroom, as it's the onlyplace I can think of. I sprint towards the nearest bathroom, hoping that thatthe blaring alarm will soon go away. The women's bathroom I have stumbledacross is Chica themed, so there's a lot of neon pink and green. I hide in astall, praying that a security bot doesn't find me. Or worse. That Sun or Moondon't find me. * * * An hour has passed and my legs start to cramp from sittingon the hard, stiff toilet seat for too long. I look out through a crack in thestall door. It's dark and eerily quiet. Suddenly, I hear someone or somethingenter the bathroom. I freeze. I'm as silent as a statue. I silently beg forwhatever's out the door to leave. But they don't. "Starlight? It's me. Moon.Come on out." Moon calls out to me. Moon stops right in front of my stall. Ilet out a hushed breath. Moon reaches for the door handle and tries to pull itopen. But he can't. I locked it. "Callie! Open this door! Now!" He roars. Hestruggles some more and finally kicks it. I duck and crawl under to the stallnext to me. I open it and run out. Moon is too busy with the door to notice meleaving. I've got a good head start but soon enough I her Moon's footstepsthunder behind me. "Come here you little-" Moon shouts. I don't hear the restof his sentence because I have hidden in a janitor's closet. Mops, featherdusters, and cleaning supplies surround me. I look for a lock on the closetdoor and realize there isn't one. Oh no. I know that Moon has a vague idea ofwhere I'm hiding. I hear footsteps outside. "Moon, where is she?!" It's Sun'svoice. Oh no. Both of them are here. "I believe she's in here." Moon replies. They're right outside the door. I watch the doorknob turn slowly. The dooropens. I'm crouched on the floor as I look up at them. I let out a small chokednoise of desperation. "Well, looks like we found you!" Sun grins. His eyesnarrow. "Hide and seek's over, Callie." Sun growls. Moon reaches out to grabme. In a final act of defense, I reach over to a mop bucket filled halfway withdirty water and pour it on both of them.
