"You need to get a job!" Mom screams at me. I'm huddled in a corner with a laptop, poring over want ads. "I'm trying, mom." I murmur. "Well try harder!" She says, as she storms off. A job means getting away from my abusive family plus money so a job is definitely what I want. I click away at the screen, looking for more ads. "Janitor? No. A waitress? Not for me." I sigh, frustrated. I'm about to give up for the day until I see an ad that catches my eye. "Hmm. A daycare assistant?" I whisper to myself. Well, it suits me. I like kids. I click to apply to work at the Freddy Fazbear Pizzaplex.

* * * I've been approved! I will start my afternoon to night shifts next week!

* * * I walk behind a security guard names Vanessa who gives me a tour around the area I'll be working at. "Here's Freddy's, Chica's, Roxy's, and Monty's rooms." Vanessa says while walking swiftly. She sounds bored, tired, and annoyed. I'm not though. I catch Roxy saying, "I'm the best!" and Monty yelling, "Rock 'n' Roll!" Vanessa mutters something under her breath. We make our way to the daycare. She hands me a sheet of paper explaining the schedule and says, "Sun and Moon will help you to take care if the kids. Moon only helps during naptime though. Don't turn off the generators in the play place and don't turn off the lights, okay? Because safety is our number one importance, or whatever." I nod but can't help but think about the disappearances of the other children in the last few Freddy Fazbear places. "Okay, thank you! I'll try my hardest!" I say enthusiastically. "Yeah, yeah, whatever, kid." Vanessa walks away, her blonde ponytail swinging behind her. I'm left on the stairs above the daycare. There's a slide that leads down to a ball pit in the daycare but the official entrance is downstairs. I decide to go down the slide just for the fun of it. Clutching the paper Vanessa gave me, I slide down. "Weee!" I can't help but yell. I fall into the ball pit. As I climb out, I look up to the see a little room near the ceiling with a small balcony. A very tall robot Sun robot comes out and yells, "Hellooo new friend!" He dives into the ball pit and I give out a small gasp. Is he okay? Before I can even look for him, I'm shot up straight into the air. I scream, not expecting the abrupt interruption. I realize that Sun is holding me up in the air. "Ahh! Let go of me!" I shriek. I'm gently lowered down by a worried looking Sun. "Oh no! New friend! Have I hurt you?" Sun asks. I look up to him. "N-no. You just... took me by surprise, that's all. I'm sorry I reacted that way." I apologize. "Oh, new friend, I'm sorry but maybe googly eyes will cheer you up?" He leans down to my face and places two googly eyes on my cheeks. I giggle and take them off. "Sun, don't! Save them for arts and crafts!" I say. I look down at my schedule. "It's 11:30 AM right now, drop-off kids, 12:00-12:30, arts and crafts, 12:30-1:30, nap time, 1:30 to 3:30, puppet show, 3:30-4:00, snack time, 4:30 to 5:00, more arts and crafts, 5:00 to 6:00, playground time, 6:00-7:00, and finally, pick-up at 7:00 to 8:00!" I explain, more to myself than to Sun. He smiles brightly at me. "Oh, new friend! Meet Moon!" An animatronic who's left side is dark and right side is bright like the moon, greets me. "Hello, I'm Moon. Pleased to meet you." He reaches out to shake my hand. I shake his. "Hi, my name is Callie." I introduce myself. "Callie! What a wonderful name!" Sun exclaims. "Why, thank you Sun!" I grin. Moon seems calm and docile while Sun is the complete opposite. "I like your hat, Mr. Moon." I say. Moon reaches up and looks at his hat. He takes it and puts it on my head. I laugh. "It's too big on me! Besides it looks better on you." I remark. Moon nods and places his hat back on his head. "Well, I'm only needed during nap time so I'll leave now." Moon begins to walk away. "Oh, okay. Goodbye Moon!" I yell so he can hear me. Sun and I begin to prepare for the kids to come. Arrange the arts and crafts tables, organize the puppets, and chill the juice boxes. After that's done, we wait for the kids to arrive.

 * * * Soon it's time for the kids to take a nap after an afternoon of making paper bag puppets with glitter glue and googly eyes. Moon comes out for Sun to take a break. A tiny kid comes up to me and says that can't sleep I pick him up and try to rock him to sleep but nothing seems to work. "Here, let me help." Moon takes the kid into his arms and sings him a lullaby. "Close your eyes and go to sleep. Awake in a valley, far and steep. The moon chose you." He sings in a light, melodic voice. Soon, the kid falls asleep and Moon places him down softly. He motions for me to sit behind the security desk without a word. We both sit down and I open my mouth to speak. "Moon?" I ask. "Yes?" His red eyes give off a soft glow in the dark. "Your voice is spectacular. I've never heard anything like it. You're really good." I whisper. He looks at me. "Thank you, Callie. It means a lot." He whispers back. I nod. We sit in silence for a few minutes. "I just- "he begins but stops. "What is it?" I ask. "I know it's wrong but I am jealous of Sun and how he gets all of the time with the children. It's- it's not fair." He says. "Oh, Moon. I understand. I'm sure the kids appreciate you too. They love you." I respond. He looks at me, hopefully. "You really think so, Callie?" He asks. "Yes, of course and I'll prove it soon." I whisper. He stands up, so I do too. He hesitates for a moment, but then hugs me. I'm taken aback but him hug him back too. "Thank you, Callie." He whispers. We pull apart and I give him a small kiss on the cheek and smile. For a moment, I see his usual dark and red eyes turn to blue hearts and he gives me a small embarrassed smile.

 * * * The time comes for the parents to pick up their children. I wave goodbye to the kids as they leave. I run to retrieve a stack of papers to give to Moon. Sun is cleaning up the mess the kids made during snack time. "Wait, Moon!" I yell trying to catch up with him as he leaves. He slowly turns around. "Yes, Callie?" He asks. I give him the crinkly, messy stack of papers. "Take a look." I say. He looks through them. The corners of his mouth turn up slowly. Moon shows me one of them. It's a cute little drawing of a kid hugging Moon with stars shining and tiny moons all around. "During arts and crafts, we asked the kinds what they loved about naptime and they said Moon! So they drew you and they all said they loved you." I explain truthfully. I look up at him. His eyes have turned into tiny blue hearts again and his smile is gigantic. "Callie, thank you! This is the most wonderful thing I've seen." He says. This time I hug him first. "Oh, Moon! Your eyes have turned to blue hearts! How sweet!" Sun notes. Moon's eyes instantly turn back to their normal red again. He looks away, embarrassed, yet again. "Oh, c'mon. What's wrong? What do the blue hearts mean?" I ask Sun. He grins and says, "It means he's having strong feeling of affection, caring, and well, love! To put it simply." Aww. I smile. That is sweet. "Moon, your eyes should be blue more often." I tell him. His eyes flicker again to blue hearts but just for a millisecond. He walks away to his room. I turn to Sun. In a few seconds, I'm shot up in the air. "Whoa!" I can't help but yell. "Callie! I haven't seen Moon this happy in a long time! Thank you, new friend!" Sun exclaims. He lowers me down carefully and hugs me tightly. "Aw, Sun. I didn't do anything. The kids just love Moon!" I say to him. As I'm about to pull away from the hug, the lights turn off. Sun immediately lets me go and starts twitching violently. In the process, he slaps my face. I back away, raising my hand to my face. "Ow! Sun, what are-" I begin to speak but Sun sounds like he's choking on air. "R-run!" He manages to choke out. I stumble backwards, confused. "What's happening?" I shriek. "Someone's t-trying to control us!" Sun shouts. What?
