Hailey Potter: Adventures with the Avengers (harry potter x marvel)

The Sceptor

"Please! Please," Hailey begged. The avengers were going on another mission and Hailey was begging to go. It had been a few days since her birthday and everyone was still at the compound since they got a lead on some sceptor.

She had seen them go off to multiple missions to raid HYDRA bases in the few months she was here but she hadn't gotten to go on any herself. Every time Steve and Tony would promise her she could go on one that involves less danger

"I'll literally be invisible and I won't get into any real danger, I promise," she begged. "Please Steve,"

"We talked about this, it's Hydra's largest base. You're not coming," Steve said sternly. Yea, there was no arguing on this one. Ugh! Every time she had a chance to, she couldn't because Tony said no or because Steve said no.

She would have to stay at home with Maria Hill and 'help' from home. Helping was really just monitoring vitals and checking for any unknown danger. There wasn't much to do anyway except watch the entire battle scene from the monitor room since Maria did most of the work.

Hailey went to the kitchen and popped some popcorn at least, she could enjoy watching them fight.

There were 6 monitors each showing the perspective of a different Avenger. She watched as they quickly lost the element of surprise and the Avengers went head-on with a big group of Hydra soldiers.

"Why are they still fighting? They've been out skilled" Hailey asked.

"Hailey you have no clue how Hydra works. Bunch of Maniacs. They were probably given the orders to die fighting but no surrender," Maria explained.

"Maria, Barton is injured," Hailey informed, Maria was going to intervene when Natasha spotted Clint and informed others. Thor was able to get him back to the jet quick enough.

Whoa! That's so cool!" Hailey said when Thor banged his hammer on Cap's shield and wiped out the group.

"Did you catch that? Steve said it was enhanced," Hailey said. "Do you know what that is?"

"It seems that Strucker may have experimented on them. Looking at his records, that's not too far-fetched," Maria explained. "I've got incoming from Stark. Yes! He got all of their plans. This is gold,"

"Wait! Maria, look at Cap's cam. Did you see her? She looked so familiar, I am sure I saw her somewhere before," Hailey said. "She's also enhanced,"

"Let me copy this data and I'll look through for her," Maria said.

"Maria! Look at that, Tony found a secret door! I wish I was there!" Hailey had a habit of rambling to herself when she saw exciting scenes through the suit but Maria didn't really mind having her around.

"Whoa! That doesn't look good. A whole bunch of robots?" Hailey pointed out.

"Hailey! You scared me for a second they're just broken experiments,"

"Thor, I've got eyes on the price" Tony said victoriously.

That scepter looked extremely familiar. These were the same images from her vision. This couldn't be a coincidence. She remembered seeing robots too and mass destruction. God, that was nearly 6 months ago. Whatever the reason was, it wasn't good. This meant trouble.

Tony was about to grab the scepter when he stopped. Why would he stop? Something felt so off and so strange she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Then finally after at least 5 minutes of just standing there, Tony grabbed the Sceptor. Cap had Strucker under arrest and they were ready to leave.

Hailey shifted to the tablet and attempted to look for something on the 'enhanced'. She was now in school and she had become a bit of a tech genius if she said so herself. Actually, she wasn't nearly as good as Peter or Mr. Stark but still very good.

"I found them!" she exclaimed.

"Good job. Keep it on to show them afterward, they'll probably ask for it."

"Ok."

Maria and Hailey waited by the landing pad. They should be here in a few minutes. Then an Asian woman walked in. What was happening? It was the same one from her vision.

"Maria? Who is that?" Hailey whispered.

"Dr. Helen Cho from Seoul. She's known as the world's best geneticist." Maria whispered back.

The plane landed and Hailey congratulated everyone on another victory.

"That thing you did with your shield and Thor! It wiped everyone out! That was so cool, I could've come. Strucker basically surrendered,"

"You didn't see Barton huh?" Stever asked raising an eyebrow playfully. Hailey mumbled something under her breath.

"It's fine, I'll convince you for the next one anyway but I need to talk to you about the 'enhanced'" Hailey said.

"Did you find them?"

"Yea they're twins. Wanda and Pietro. They were orphaned at 10 when a bomb hit their home but they volunteered for Strucker's experiments. Pietro is super fast but Wanda she can control minds. Mind reading and telekinesis sorta thing," Hailey explained.

"Hmm. We'll definitely meet them again."

"I think she let you guys take the scepter. Mr. Stark was just standing there for a solid 5 minutes staring at the scepter. If she wanted, she could've stopped you but I'm telling you she let us take the scepter and it was something to do with Mr. Stark," Hailey told him.

"You're gonna think I'm crazy but a few months ago I had a vision you know, the stars were aligned perfectly so I pulled out my crystal ball and it can't be a coincidence that I saw Dr. Cho, Wanda, and the Sceptor in there," Hailey elaborated. Steve was good at keeping a poker face but he probably thought Hailey was crazy.

"You don't believe me do you?" Hailey asked.

"No, I do. I am just a little confused. What else did you see?"

"BUnch of robots and a flying city which I didn't recognize but it was catastrophic," Hailey explained.

"Ok, thank you for telling me. I promise I'll look into it," Steve promised.
