~snaps pov~

I woke up to a throbbing headache my head hurts and so did my stomach I walked downstairs to try to get some water and see dream already making breakfast

"Hey your up late" dream says with his Windex laugh

"Wait what time is it"

"It's 12:00 I tried to wake you up but you wouldn't get up did you stay up late?"

Dream opens the fridge and pours me some orange juice

"Here and sit down I'm almost done making it"

I sit down "no I didn't stay up that late I went to bed at 11:30 and thank you but I could have done it myself"

"Well I didn't know how long you were going to stay asleep so I made it myself and besides I thought you were busy with your boyfriend karl" dream giggles as he says that

I blush at the last sentence

"Uhh wdym boyfriend? He's just my best friend"

"You sureee cuz it seems like every time I talk about him you blush"

I playfully hit him "I DO NOT"

Dream puts the food in front of me "whatever you say but just eat then get dressed because we're going to the coffee place down the street"

"Oh yeah I heard of that place it just opened right?"

"Yes NOW EAT"

"Jeez ok"

~time skip to after he's done eating~

I walk up stairs and change into a hoodie and sweatpants then walk back downstairs and see dreams waiting so I put on my Converse

"You ready to go slowpoke" dream says playfully

"Yes I'm ready now let's go" I put my phone in my pocket but I'm still thinking of the text Karl sent last night did he really mean it? I didn't even realize I spaced out until dream yelled my ear

"EARTH TO NICK YOU THERE"

"OWWW MY EARS"

"sorry you weren't talking thought you were dying something"

"Whatever let's just go"

They both get to the coffee shop and surprisingly there's no one there

"Ok Nick what do you want?"

"A frappuccino"

"Okay we see you I was just going to get a black coffee"

Dream orders the drinks and they sit down by the window

~time skip to when the drinks arrive~

"This frappuccino is really good but I wanted to talk to you about something"

Dream takes a small sip of his black coffee and nods

"I really want to meet up with karl but I'm scared that he doesn't want to or he'll think I'm weird for wanting to"

"Dude you're crazy y'all have been best friends for years he loves you like a bestie trust me he will want to meet you just talk to him about it"

I start thinking "just as a bestie?" But I don't realize I said it out loud. Dream spits out his black coffee dramatically

"That's kinda gæ dude"

"Oh shut up you act like you don't flirt with George all the time"

"Whatever"

They finally get home and snap runs to his room and turns on his PC

~incoming call from "Karl 💞"~

I pick up faster than anything

"Heyyy" Karl says his voice is raspy like he just woke up

"Hey.. did you just wake up your voice sounds kinda raspy"

~karl's pov~

Shit how do I tell him that I've been crying I don't want him to get worried about me it's really nothing so I just say the top thing that was on my mind

"Oh um no I'm just sick"

I can hear it from snaps voice that he's already worried I shouldn't have said that

"I'm so sorry feel better but I did what to talk to you about something important..."

Uh oh was it me saying I love him I run my hands through my hair overthinking

"About what" I say kind of nervous

"So I was kind of hoping we can meet up only if you're comfortable though we don't have to I just really thought it was a good idea"

I get up from my chair and squeal this can't be happening he wants to meet me

"YES OFC I WOULD"
