His hand was on my thigh, and his grip just kept getting harder. I felt so awful having Mouth lie straight to Joey's face about me being there, like little shards were injecting my heart. I also felt a bit guilty for making my mom worry about me, but it feels as if it's all worth it in the end.
M: You okay?
Mouth asked as I started zoning out, thinking about my decisions.
I snapped back into reality.
Y/n: Oh uh yeah. Sorry, what were we doing again?
M: Well he haven't really decided yet. Did you want burgers or pizza?

Oh, he was asking me something..
I replied quickly, rubbing the side of my neck.

Y/n: Uh none, I'm not very hungry. But thanks..
M: Cool with me.

He put the telephone down, I'd assume from ordering food, and turned to face me. He put his hand on my face, caressing my cheek with his thumb and started to move my hair out of my face with his other. He stared me in the eyes, and I was expecting a spark to shine but there was none. None at all, not like how it shined when he was laying on top of me. It almost didn't feel right anymore, as if I wasn't looking in the eyes of the right person.
He leaned in to touch his lips with mine, but I was wondering in my thoughts. It was only seconds after he kissed me when I had instinctively pulled away, looking down awkwardly with a subtle tear running down my pale, worrisome face.
Y/n: I-im sorry Mouth, but i gotta go.
M: Why? It was just getting good.
Y/n: I know, I know. But my mom is probably worried sick about me, I need to get home.
M: It's all good, I guess- Hey wait, are you crying?

I was gonna answer but the words just weren't coming out of my mouth, so I got up and ran out of his room.

I was already halfway running down the road when I saw Joey with his head down, kicking cans around that were left out on street.
Y/n: Joey!
He turned around and his eyes had widened as he ran (almost zoomed to be exact) over to me. I fell into his arms as he wrapped them around me, tears were rolling down my eyes. But I wasn't the only one crying, Joey was too.
J: Your okay! Mrs. Hayes, she's okay!
Y/n: I missed you, Joey..
I could see mom running down the street right behind Joey, she had dropped her purse and threw it to the side as she moved Joey out of my arms to hug me.
Mom: Never do this to me again, Y/n. Do you know how worried I was about you?
Y/n: I'm sorry, mom. I really am.
Mom: Well, I need a explanation young lady. Where were you?
Y/n: M-my friend Mouth's house..
It went silent as my mom was staring me dead in the eyes.
Mom: Well, let's just continue this talk at home.

Joey waved goodbye to me as I waved back, my mom was tightly gripping onto my wrist as she was basically dragging me to her car..
