Lovely Lady

A beautiful Maiden sits on a ledge over water

She sings sweet symphonies to the animals below

Birds circle her, straining to hear her voice

The flowers tilt towards the lady, soaking up  her song like the sun

The Beatles and bugs underneath her soil gather

They dig up, hoping for a better view

As they dig the ground collapses

The maiden falls

Underneath the ground, the maiden still sings

She did not startle

She knew of her power

She knew that the animals would surround her

And she knew that the plants would migrate to around her body

That they would leave the planet a wasteland

Except for the paradise around her

Though she forgot her mistake

Because despite the beauty surrounding her

She was smothered by it

The fair maiden cannot sing

With her mouth full of sand
