Natasha lay in Kennedy's bed, staring at the doctor as she slept. She was certain that she didn't deserve Kennedy in any sort of capacity. After telling her the truth, she felt a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders, but now she had bigger problems to deal with, the first being the pesky little feelings that she was developing and the fact that Kennedy was engaged.

"I get that you're a spy, but this is creepy," Kennedy says, her eyes still closed as she spoke. Natasha smiled at her.

"I was listening to you snore," Natasha retorts.

"Nice try, but I actually am incapable of snoring," Kennedy responds as she opens her eyes.

"Everyone is capable of snoring."

"Except for me," Kennedy responds, "It's like my hidden talent."

Natasha laughs softly and Kennedy smiles as she turns on her side looking at Natasha.

"Do you have to work today?" Natasha asks her and Kennedy shakes her head.

"I am all yours today. What do you want to do?" Kennedy asks as her stomach lets out a wretched growl, causing her to bury her face in her pillow in embarrassment and Natasha chuckles beside her.

"Sounds like someone's hungry," Natasha teases.

"Whatever," Kennedy says, muffled by the pillow, "You're paying for breakfast."

"Deal," Natasha tells her, "Do you also want me to take Tolkien for a walk?"

"No," Kennedy says as she sits up, "I've got it."

Natasha watches as she climbs out of bed and tries to ignore the weird feeling in the pit of her stomach as she thinks that this could have been her life. Lazy mornings with Kennedy and a dog that she really didn't want but grew to love as much as Kennedy.

A phone buzzes and Natasha leans over the bed curiously to see Fitz's name lighting up the screen of Kennedy's phone. She had the urge to reject the call, but she knew better.

"Fitz is calling," she informs Kennedy who had disappeared into the bathroom. She pokes her head out, toothbrush in her mouth.

"Ignore it," Kennedy tells her.

"Okay," Natasha says as she leans back in the bed. Tolkien jumps on the bed and settles down beside Natasha and she smiles as she pets him, "You ready for your walk? I bet you are. You're super cute. You know that?"

"Are you talking to him?" Kennedy asks with a smile as she exits the bathroom, putting her hair up in a messy bun.

"I am," Natasha responds, "Look at that face."

Kennedy smiles at her and pats her leg, "Come on Tolkien."

The dog jumps off the bed before bounding out of Kennedy's bedroom. Natasha chuckles as she looks over at Kennedy.

"You were right," Kennedy says as she grabs her phone.

"Right about what?" Natasha asks curiously.

Kennedy shrugs, "You were just right."

"Kennedy," Natasha says wanting to know what she was talking about, but the doctor has already headed out of the bedroom.

"Don't you dare leave my bed before I get back Natasha!" Kennedy exclaims before she hears the apartment door close. She bites her lip as she lays in Kennedy's bed unable to help as she inhales her scent.
