Chapter 1: Prologue

Disclaimer: I am not a troll in his fifties plotting out how to kill off another blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy, therefore I am not Rick Riordan and do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus/Trials of Apollo or any of the characters in those series. I simply own the plot. I am also not Greek Mythology and do not own the Gods and Goddesses or Chaos.

*Nico's POV*

Ever since the Giant War, life had been......well complicated. I'm a child of Hades. What can I say, I'm not surprised people avoid me. It had been great the first week or so. I and Will had started becoming friends, and people were nice to me.

But after that, they started, well, drifting off, I guess. They avoided me again, jumped whenever I came near them or spoke, and were extremely wary of me. Will was always there for me though, Comforted me, made sure I ate, glared at anyone doing anything even remotely rude. And slowly, I guess I came to terms with the fact that I had a huge crush on him. Reyna was great too. I often visited Camp Jupiter, and honestly, at least over there I wasn't treated as an outsider. Mostly because people were scared of Reyna and Frank, who were the praetors. Now you might be thinking why Frank would be defensive over me. Well, he wasn't. But Hazel most definitely was, and if she was mad, then Frank was mad.

I was really sad when Reyna, the person I thought of like a big sister, joined the Hunters. I mean, I was happy for her, but, she didn't even tell me before she did it. And that too, right after Jason died! I wasn't there for his funeral because it was at Camp Jupiter, and the news hadn't reached CHB by then. He was on a quest in San Fransisco to find Nereus, but he died afterlyhe got overwhelmed by the monsters. I've got to say though, she and Thalia would make a cute couple. I know that's not possible, especially because of what Venus told Reyna, but still, a boy can imagine.

Eventually, I and Will got together, and it was great. It did come with the downside of people being homophobic, but Will taught me to tune it all out. I guess that marks the end of what happened in the last six-seven months..................except Percy, Thalia and mine's big three fight.....which resulted in people being even warier of me after I froze their soul's inside their body to win........which also resulted in getting scolded by Will and receiving another three days in the infirmary. The bright side of it was I got to spend more time with Will though!
