Ch 9: Storytime

Sorry if the timeline is off I might have changed it a lil. But Enjoy!

Now all the attention was on her and Sasuke, waiting to be educated. 

"Well I think you all deserve the truth and only the truth, so we will start from the beginning of our story" Sasuke started.

Everyone nodded in agreement 

"It started about 3-4 years ago" Sasuke continued 

Almost everyone was a bit confused. "What do you mean?  it doesn't take that long" TenTen asked

"Well, I just started, if you let me finish you would know"

"fair"

"We, both Sakura and I, had recently..." He looked over at Sakura, almost looking for confirmation, then back "We had started dating. It was when Sakura was almost done with med school. Remember how I offered to have her in my apartment since it was close to campus? We wante-" 

"WOAH WOAH WOAH, hold the phone" Ino barged a response out 

"OI, really dobe?!" Naruto said 

"Sakura! Is that true?" Hinata asked quietly  

"uh-huh. Our 3 Year anniversary would be in July" Sakura responded with her head pointed down at her shoes 

"So, you're here telling me that my best friend has been in a relationship for almost 3 years and didn't tell me?!" Ino practically yelling in Sakura's face 

"Sorry?" The pinkette responded "This apology is worth more than one word, forehead" 

"Fine"    "May I continue?" The raven-haired man asked 

With most everyone sitting silently now for Sasuke to continue 

"We kept it a secret until now, well because we can't really hide the fact that Sarada existed now, huh" putting a hand on Sakura's shoulder

"But the reason we kept it a secret" Sakura started, glaring at Ino "Was because we never truly had anything to keep just to ourselves, y'know. We just wanted it to be us, and if it didn't work out. It wouldn't have been that awkward around everyone like right now"

"That's kinda cute" Temari cooed "Unlike someone else, I know" giving a side-eye to Shikamaru "Troublesome" He said under his breath

"So we were in that situation for the few years, including the quarantine year and then some" 

By this time Sarada was now in Sakura's arms, sleeping soundly 

"Okay great, still doesn't explain this cute bean here in your arms" Naruto pushed 

"Yeah, I'm with Naruto on this one, never thought I'd say that" Ino agrees

"Right, must have been pretty bored with staying inside all the time" Naruto says moving his eyebrows up and down 

"Sure y-you can say that, plus you don't need to know every detail about... about our sex life, BAKA!"  

Sasuke just glared at Naruto in return 

"Okay Haruno, continue" TenTen urged 

"Well I think you gave me a perfect segway, TenTen"

Most look at her confused 

Sasuke speaks up now "She's not going to be a Haruno for much longer"

 "We're engaged" Sakura continued after Sasuke

"And when did that happen!?" Ino questions 

"Last September" She replied 

"OH MY GOD! Really!?" Ino said ecstatically 

"Ino calm down, you going to wake my daughter up" Sasuke said coldly 

"Sorry, sorry. Let me see the ring though!"

After someone by the name of Ino, was satisfied with the information she gathered, she calmed down. While others congratulated them on their engagement and their baby the conversations sifted during dinner. Most notable being who was going to get married next, or who would find love, or just carry on their bloodline. Regardless,  the conversations were never dry. Ultimately having a bit of teasing here and there against Sakura and Sasuke, but they didn't seem to care that much. They both, as much as Sasuke might deny it, enjoyed the dinner and their friend's company.

I've put off this chapter for a bit, but alas here it is. I want to write one more part of this, but it'll take me ages since I have ideas for different fics. Anyways... see you soon!
