As i listen to what you're saying on the other side of the wall i can't help but want to cry. Cry at the fact that you remember her and not me, making me angry. Maria did so much to hurt you and you still forgave her, every damn time. And every damn time i was there to comfort you. I do wonder if you hadn't 'died' that day if you would have forgiven her and gone back to her even after what you told me. It wasn't the first time we'd slept together, but could have been the last. Your relationship with Maria could count as toxic, all you did was fight and still you were together for so long, both too scared to be alone. This could give me a chance to remember me first, before her. Or else you might go back to her again. You might not have admitted it, neither of you, but your relationship was really unhealthy even though you had so much love for each other.

A ping from my phone on my desk gets my attention away from eavesdropping on them. I walk over to see a message.

If there just was a way to go back in time, if just someone had thought of it. Oh wait, someone did. Too bad you can't crack the code she wrote.
JC

I'm surprised that he signed it with his real initials this time. Though i am the only one to know that he's the one to send these messages, but how could he have known that?

Me
What are you talking about Jake?

Unknown
Didn't you know what you sent Bucky to do with Tony in the labb, i thought you were the one to have all the information. Or do you just act like you know everything?

Me
Your saying your sister solved time travel? That's impossible

Go take a look in the labb, if you don't believe me. 3825

As i've finished reading his last text it all gets erased from my screen. How is that he knows everything and you know absolutely nothing. He gave me your code, i didn't even know it was still active. As it locks i see the time, eleven am. No one should be down there now, Tony's been avoiding it the last three days. I grab my black satin robe that reaches below my knees, putting it over my grey sweatpants and white tank top. Only reason i'm even wearing this robe is because you bought it for me, otherwise i hate satin clothes. But i keep my phone in my hand before heading out the door into the living corridor. As i'm out i meet Maria and Wanda who are heading out of your room as well.

"Can't sleep or did we talk too loud" Maria jokes and even though i'm not her biggest fan right now i can't help but laugh. It's like something is controlling me.

"No, i was just up reading, gonna get some tea. Would you want some?" i must ask as to not make them think something is going on.

"Nah, just gonna go to sleep. Good night Nat, Maria" Wanda says, heading into the room across from mine and also next to yours.

"Night" i just say before starting to walk down the corridor towards the stairs.

"Hey Nat, you okay?" Maria asks, catching up with me by the stairs.

"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?"

"I don't know, you just seem... different" she says and i meet her gaze, i can't read it.

"I'm the same as i've always been Maria, but right now i'm just tired. Good night" i end the conversation as i don't want to lie to her.

"Good night" she says as i start to walk down the stairs and i can feel her gaze on me before disappearing out of her line of sight. I hide behind the wall of the dining room until i hear her door closing. I walk back into the foyer and start walking down between the stairs to the locked door. I press in your code and it lights up green with a click. Now i'm glad Jake seems to be on the right side of this, i just hope it stays that way. As i walk in and down the stairs the light automatically turns on to reveal the large room filled with different desks and machines. Two separate offices, one for you and one for Tony i presume. I've never actually been down here for a longer time than a few minutes, only to deliver a message, to get either of them or give them something that was delivered to the door. As i walk between the tables i'm met by a part of the wall filled with papers and pictures of you. Some from missions, the office, vacation and just random days at the house. Your SHIELD personal file next to the death certificate, then a picture of you and Tony smiling by the first portable Jarvis.

Something big covered in a sheet in the corner of the room takes my attention away from the wall. I walk up to it but something tells me to not get closer, like a voice in my head but it's not my own. Like someone else is trying to control my moves, the key word being 'trying'. I continue walking to it because I ain't letting anyone control me again. I pull off the sheet to reveal a part of what almost looks like a gazebo, but with more technical wires and metal. I don't look at it long before putting the sheet back over it. Instead i look over the pictures on one of the desks, that appears to be the blueprints. And i can see it right away even though i can't read your prints. I didn't exactly think you had actually done it, not even sure what made me come down here to look. But damn, you actually solved it. That's what Tony's been trying to build, with the help of Bucky. The only thing missing would be the power source. I don't want to ask him about it but i have to, this is starting to cross over everything i know in my mind. Something about this story doesn't add up.
