"Pin?" I heard a knock on my door and looked up to see my dad coming in. I sat up as he came and sat down on the end of my bed. "Are you alright?" He asked me. I stifled a sob and took a deep breath. I crawled into his open arms and let him hold me and looked into his eyes searching for the words to start with.

"I'm just...I'm so overwhelmed, dad." I murmured, my voice breaking slightly.

"Is it your jobs? I told you, four jobs is a lot, Pin. You can quit the job at the restaurant if that's what you need." He told me, gently stroking y hair. I gently pulled away from him and sat up, wiping the stray tears that had fallen from my eyes.

"No that's not it, dad. And I need these jobs to help pay for university." I told him sternly.

"Well, if you're going to start teaching up in the studio then you're going to have to quick one or two of them." I sighed. He was right. If I wanted to start teaching dance lessons in the studio then I would have to quit one of them. He pulled my chin to make me look at him. "What's on your mind, Pin?"

"I'm so sorry about last night...I shouldn't have blown up like that." I bit my lip nervously.

"It's alright, darling. I'm sure that boy deserved to be yelled at. I've never seen you that angry before." He chuckled.

"He just brings out the worst in me. I get so frustrated when I see him." I muttered, anger was growing in me again.

"I'm sure there's a reason for his behavior, Pin. Did you ever consider that?"

"Yes, I did, dad. And the only thing I can come up with is that he's a rude, egotistical, rich boy popstar and he's full of himself. He probably expects every girl he meets to swoon at the sight of him."

"Pin, there's more to a person on the inside. His mother is a lovely woman, with a other like her, there must be another side to that boy." He replied gently.

"Why are you defending him?" I pouted. He chuckled again, his chest vibrated with every laugh and I punched him in the chest in protest.

"I'm not defending him, Pin. I'm just saying, there's more to a person than the assumptions we make in our minds."

I sighed. He was right. Again. "I guess so..." I grumbled.

"Is that all, Pin?" He paused and pulled me in closer to him.

I really didn't want to tell him about what Maiko had told me earlier. He would freak out if I told him about Luke and Sean. I knew I had to stay away from them but some part of me craved to have them back in my life. I missed them. Or, at least, I missed who they used to be.

"Rae?" He repeated. I sat up and turned to face him. I couldn't hide this from him. He'd find out sooner or later.

"Sean and Luke are back..." I said quietly. I couldn't bring myself to look him in the eyes so I focused on the shark tooth necklace around his neck. "And they want to see me and Maiko."

"NO. Absolutely not!" He shouted. I flinched a bit, I knew he'd react like this.

"Dad, I haven't been in contact with them."

"GOOD. And keep it that way!" He grabbed my shoulders, forcing me to look him in the eyes, he was furious. "Raelyn Andrea Evans, you stay away from those two, do you understand? They're trouble and I don't want you to associate yourself with them. They nearly got you arrested and beaten. Luke broke your damn leg for Christ's sake! You and Maiko stay as far away from them as possible!"

"Yes, Dad." I muttered quietly. I haven't seen my dad this angry since the incident. He pulled me into a tight hug and kissed the top of my head.

"I just want you girl to be safe. Those two have gone bad and I will not have them drag you down. I'm going to give their mother a call right now and make sure they stay away." He stormed out of my room and into the kitchen. A moment later, I heard him talking in a low voice. I couldn't understand what he was saying but I didn't need to hear what he was saying to know who he was talking to. As much as I wanted to stay away from them, I knew that they would find some way to come to me and Maiko. They'd find us somehow and that terrified me. I couldn't face them. They nearly had Maiko and I thrown in jail along with them. If it hadn't been for their mother, we probably would have gone to prison with them.
