I woke up the next morning alone in my bed with the worst migraine I have ever experienced in my life. I felt too cold yet too hot and my body ached all over. The sun seemed to have some secret vendetta against me today as it was flooding my room with its unwelcomed light. I had to shut my window. "Ugh...Turn off the sun..." I groaned into my pillow. I sat up a bit too quick and suddenly the room was spinning. I clung to my night stand for support as I picked myself up off my bed only to fall with a huge thud to the ground.
"Is everything alright?!" Came a deep voice. I swung my head up to see who had spoken to see Harry standing in the doorway.
"You're still here." I managed to smile a bit before I started having a coughing fit. "Ugh..."
Harry walked over to me and picked me up bridal style before gently setting me back down on the bed. I felt him rest his warm hand on my forehead. The physical contact seemed to burn my forehead though making me cringe away from it. I looked at him through bleary eyes to see a worried expression on his face.
"What was that sound? Is everything okay?" Came Liam's voice. Were they all still here?
"Hey, is everything alright?" Came Zayn next. I was about to say something but instead I doubled over in a coughing fit. I clutched my sides as I coughed, my body already ached all over and these coughs weren't really making me feel any better. I could faintly hear more people crowding around my doorway. Geez, were they having a party or something? I wasn't asleep for that long was I?
"I think she's caught a cold." Said Harry.
"Aww, no! Poor thing! It's alright, we can all go out together when she gets better instead then, right?" Said a female voice. Oh god. Have they brought strippers to my house?!
"No, no. I'm fine. What's all this?" My voice came out quieter than I'd intended it to come out as I weakly tried to sit up. Before I could even get up I felt 10 pairs of hands gently pushing me back down.
"You need your rest, love." Said Louis.
"Is Rae sick?" Said Jake. I turned to look at him and saw him and his brothers standing in the doorway watching me worriedly. Turning my head to the other side I saw the boys and three other girls with them, one of them I recognized as Eleanour.
"Yeah, let's give her some space guys. You boys head on out. I think I'll just take care of Rae for today." Said Harry.
"No, Harry! You had plans!" I protested but after I had another coughing fit I could tell by the look in his eyes that he wasn't going anywhere. Everyone nodded and left the room, save for my brothers.
"So...what do you boys usually do when your sister's sick?" He asked them.
"We don't know..." Said Ryan.
"She's never gotten sick before." Added Jake.
"She's the one that's always taking care of us when we get sick." Said JR.
"Stop it, guys." I muttered as I turned to look at them. Oddly enough, it was getting a bit harder to see them as the room seemed to have darkened. I guess someone must have turned off the light, finally. "I'm fine. I just need to sleep for a few hours and then I'll be fine."
"Rae, you just stay here in bed today. Me and the boys will whip some soup up for you to eat and a nice cup of tea." Ordered Harry. He was kind of sexy when he bossed me around like that, if I'm honest. Before he left, he pulled the covers up to my chin and planted a soft kiss on my forehead. "I'll be back in a bit, love."
When he left, the world suddenly seemed much colder. I couldn't stay in bed all day but I seemed to have lost all the strength in my body. My phone buzzing on my nightstand seemed to think I was wonder woman, though. After a minute of contemplating whether I should pick it up or not, I picked it up.
