Rebecca's POV

Before Rebecca boarded her plane back to London she received a message from Declan which turned into a fight between them. He made her feel as though all she did was party. While she loved to go out and enjoy herself that was only for two reasons, as a kid she was bullied a lot for her looks and secondly because most of her relationships were lies. Guys only liked her for her money and looks. She never had a real relationship. Of course she would never tell Declan that so she blamed her distrustfulness on how often she travelled. Getting drunk and having fun helped her to forget how much people's actions had hurt her. 

She stopped responding to Declan's messages and she left the groupchat. Rebecca kept in contact with Trent, Mase, Phil and Jack but ignored any questions they had about what happened between her and Declan. Eventually they learned to stop asking and respected her privacy. 

It was a rare sunny day in London and Becky was just coming home from a trip to Brazil for a phototshoot. When she got home, she found a box at her doorstep. On top of it was a bouquet of white tulips with a note tucked it it. She opened the note and her eyes went wide in surprise at the words she read. 

Becca,
I've wanted to apologise from the moment I sent those messages but I thought you wouldn't have wanted anything to do with me. The guys miss talking to you and so do I. I know I have no right to ask for your forgiveness three months later but I'm still gonna give it a shot. In the box is a dress I bought for you, I chose that colour because I think it would look amazing on you. Meet me at your favourite restaurant at 7 o'clock, I booked the entire place so it's just going to be the two of us. If you don't show up I understand but I wanted to apologise in person. I miss you, Aliyah
Declan ♡

Rebecca laughed when she realised Declan had called her Aliyah. She opened the box to find a lavender dress, one she had wanted to buy for ages. She was conflicted as to whether to go or not. On one hand he had hurt her but on the other, she missed him too. The hours went by much quicker than she expected. What she thought would've been six hours to make a decision went by in what felt like half an hour. She decided to go, however, when Becky looked over at the clock it was already 6:40. She jumped into the shower and got ready as quickly as she could. The drive alone took twenty minutes and when she got there it was 7:37. 

Declan's car was still in the parking lot so that was a good sign. When Rebecca walked in she saw Declan staring at the ceiling. 

"Sorry I'm late." she said. 

Dec jumped at the sound of her voice, he never expected her to come. "You're here! You came!" 

Becky walked over and sat next to him. "Turns out I miss you too." 

"Listen, Bec, I'm so sorry. I was an idiot. I got jealous. You hang out with Lewis Hamilton and a whole bunch of other people that you could choose over me in a heartbeat. Even Jake. Do you like Jake? I can't tell, I'm horrible with this sort of stuff," Declan's rambling made Becca laugh. 

"Dec," she called, interrupting him, "Jake is gay." 

He drank all the whiskey in his glass before speaking again. "I told you, I'm not good with this sort of thing. But I really am sorry."

"I'll forgive you on one condition," Becky said. 

"Name it." 

"Listen to why I act the way I do." 

Rebecca explained her difficult childhood and bad luck when it came to relationships and she could see how much Declan had regretted his words. 

He groaned as he relaxed against his chair. "You're trying to make me feel worse aren't you?"

She smirked. "Yeah, is it working?"

She took a sip of her wine and Declan nodded. "What are the chances of me getting a kiss from you tonight?"

"One in a million," Becky said. "I'm still a bit mad at you." 

"Do I get one when you're not mad at me?" Declan asked. 

Rebecca laughed. "Play nice and maybe you'll get one."
