For about the past 6ish months, I've barely drawn at all. School is definitely a factor, but even when I did have free time, I wouldn't draw. I believe it is because I am no longer satisfied with my art.
You can only draw the same things in the same way so many times before it gets monotonous. And it would be one thing if the drawings were of good quality, but to me, they aren't. This isn't to say that I think my art is bad per se, but rather, I think I can do much better. I set high expectations for myself when it comes to art but for the past 6 months, I haven't been meeting those expectations.
This is why I will be rebranding. To what, I'm not sure. I'm still working on it. I want a new style and brand that I can be proud of. I want to draw new things and experiment with new techniques and subjects. (I'm still gonna be drawing dragons though lol.) I will make at least one mega post on here once my brand is established. After that, I might pop back on here every so often.
Before I close this, I just want to thank each and every one of you that have ever followed me, interacted with me, and supported me, as well as the greater WOF/art community on here. I started posting on this account at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 as a way to cure my boredom, but I never expected to find myself where I am now, able to share my art with hundreds of people on the internet. Even though I am dissatisfied with my art as it stands now, I am still extremely proud of how much my skill has improved, and I wouldn't have been able to improve without this amazing community, and your support. You guys mean the world to me. <3
Some words of wisdom: Start all your homework the day it's assigned. Drink at least a large water bottle's worth of water everyday. Try and go outside at least once a day. Always fact check, don't be fooled by misinformation. Keep drawing and doing the hobbies/things you love, even if people tell you it's a waste of time. If it makes you happy, it's never a waste. And lastly, if you haven't already, watch Breaking Bad on Netflix. It's so good :)
