"What are you doing here?" asked a girl standing at the door.
"Practicing my dance moves. What else would I be doing? The monthly evaluation is near, and I want to make sure everything is on point," said Lisa who was still out of breath after finishing her routine just minutes ago.
"It's 2 A.M."
"And?" Lisa raised her eyebrows.
"Your dancing is exceptional. However, your health...you need to get some rest Lalisa," the girl scolded her.
"You're not my mom, Jisoo," Lisa complained.
Jisoo always did this. Ever since they became friends, Jisoo somehow took up the role of being Lisa's parent - Lisa wasn't sure how or when exactly it happened. She didn't dislike the concern Jisoo had for her, but sometimes, just like it would happen in a normal relationship between parent and children, her reminders would nettle Lisa.
"Don't give me that annoyed look. You know it doesn't work for me, I'll bug you until you go to bed. Once I see you sleeping, I will stop talking about it. Apart from that, you must be hungry, no?" said Jisoo with a smirk on her face.
Lisa's stomach growled. She was starving. After she was done with her vocal lesson, she needed to attend Japanese 1, and didn't have time to grab a lunch. She could've gotten some snacks between her English and dance lesson, but she was too lazy, and after that, she stayed in the practice room completely forgetting about the time or the fact that she needed to eat something. Jisoo was right. She had to take care of her health more.
"Ugh, I am hungry, but it's kind of late. The cafeteria is closed and I have nothing left to eat in my room," Lisa sighed.
Jisoo smiled: "Then I guess it's a good thing I ordered this."
Jisoo reached for something behind the door. It was a plastic bag with food in it.
"I ordered some Thai food. Yesterday, you said you had been missing it. I tried to get Jennie to come eat with us, but she was dead asleep. You should've heard how she cursed at me when I asked her to join us," she chuckled and sat down next to Lisa.
As they were eating, Lisa couldn't help but think about how grateful she was to have such a friend like Jisoo. Jisoo and Jennie. When Jisoo joined the company as a trainee back in the summer, Lisa was scared to talk to her. She introduced herself as Kim Ji Soo, a sixteen year old girl, whose husky voice Lisa admired at every vocal lesson. Her face was beautiful, like one of those you see on the beauty ads all over Seoul. She was like that typical high school girl who is popular and everyone respects her. Maybe that's why Lisa was scared of her at first. However, after some time, Lisa discovered that Jisoo was just a normal girl who loved to read manga, who had an obsession with Harry Potter and slept with plush toys. Most importantly, Jisoo's lips turned into a beautiful heart shape whenever she saw Lisa succeed at something. That smile always comforted Lisa.

A boy in a gray shirt was laying on the bed, staring into the ceiling. If he tried to reach out with his hand, he would be able to touch it, as he was sleeping on the top part of the bunk bed he shared with another boy that slept at the bottom. If he stretched out his arm in the direction behind his head, he would probably touch the hair of the other boy who was sleeping on another bunk bed right next to his. He also felt like he couldn't move because the squeaky sounds of the not-so-new furniture would wake up everyone in the room. In this small room, nine boys lived. Some of them had been living there longer, while some were living there just for a few days. The boy in the gray shirt had been part of this room for almost a year now. He couldn't help but think about what happened earlier. He was asked to sing in front of the rest of the trainees, and he almost started crying.
