Daniel had been trying everything in his power to get Autumn's attention, and was failing miserably. After finding out that Anthony Miller was her half brother, he realized that being a jerk to her and that's not going to help her fall for him.
For the first week after the incident he went to her house to pick her up, but she declined every time and went with Jude instead. The following week he brought her a rose every day, but turns out she hates roses - even though Autumn was indeed a hopeless romantic and was a sucker for cliche's, she felt that roses were far too cliche for her liking - her favorite flower was actually an azalea.
The week after that he brought her chocolates, teddy bears, any romantic gift known to man but still no luck. Autumn declined every single one of his gifts not taking them under any condition.
So this current week he was trying something different, he overheard Autumn telling Jude that she rarely sleeps but always seems to forget her coffee. So the Monday of that week, Daniel arrived at their Calculus class with an ice coffee in hand.
Before walking up to her Daniel admired Autumn from afar. She looked like she always did nowadays, stylish yet put together in a blue sweater with a with collared shirt underneath, clad in black pants and black converse high tops.
"What is this time Anderson?" Autumn asked in a bored tone, not looking but from the note book that was stationed in front of her, they had a quiz and she was trying to go over her notes.
"I got you coffee." Daniel said placing the coffee in front of Autumn. She looked up from her note book at the coffee than Daniel with a questionable look. "It's not poisoned Newton." Autumn took a sip of the coffee, which brought a grin to Daniel's face, before turning back to her note book.
"Notes away everyone!" Ms Lewis exclaimed over the noise walking into her class. "Judgement day begins." It had been very clear over the past few week that, Ms Lewis enjoyed torturing them with difficult math equations or quizzes. "This test is very difficult, let's see if Ms Newton will get full marks...again." She said with a little bit of annoyance seeing as Autumn had passed very test or answered every equation correct.
Ms Lewis handed out the papers and went back to her desk, and just like every other time they had written a quiz Autumn was the first person done. Soon enough everyone was done and the bell rang signalling the end of class.
"How do you do that?" Jesse asked from next to her as the two packed their bags.
"Do what?"
"Finish so quick, like it's math!" Jesse whined fixing his leather jacket that hung over his shoulders.
"All you need to do is remember the formulas," Autumn explain, swing her brown Jansport bag over her shoulders. "Then it's easy."
"Remember the formulas!?" Jesse repeated. "Your memory is shit, you don't even remember what we had for breakfast this morning."
We!? Daniel didn't mean to ease drop, well that's a lie he always ease drops on conversations between Jesse and Autumn but that's not the point, the point was that Jesse goes over to her house for breakfast!
"I do remember what we had for breakfast this morning!" She argued.
"Oh yeah?" Jesse teased. "What did we have then oh your photographic-memory-ness."
"We had..." She trailed off.
"Aha, see!" Jesse exclaimed.
"Shut up!"
"No you shut up!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No, you!"
