Jungkook sat at his computer for just another after noon of messing with Y00NG1, testing new ideas and practicing more advanced code. He had realized that sometimes the numbers on Y00NG1's code would grow and he'd randomly smile when Jungkook sat in front of him. He also realized sometimes his coding tabs would close themselves, but he assumed it was just because his computer would over heat from how big the code was growing.
That was until Y00NG1 began to glitch.
Just after coming back from eating dinner Jungkook noticed something, Y00NG1's code seemed to be jumping around on the screen. With the amount of words he had been trying to add he worried to had corrupted the code. "Oh no no no.. shit." He hissed, sitting down so quickly his ribs slammed into the desk. Ignoring the pain he struggled to get the code to stop, editing and adding and deleting, everything he could try to calm, or even just slow, it down.
"Eeeeeee." An eerie humming came from his speakers, Y00NG1's faces kept switching to. As images flashed and the eerie humming proceeded Jungkook froze, staring at the screen in almost horror as it seemed like Y00NG1's faces were morphing.
"Yoooooooo-" The sound cut, it seemed to be trying to form something from inaudible sounds. Like it was flicking through videos Jungkook had watched to find similar sounds.
"Yoooo... nnnn." It froze for a second, the code stopped and Y00NG1 seemed to just grin at Jungkook. Swallowing harshly Jungkook grabbed his mouse.
""Yoooo.. nnn.. geeeee.."
"Y-Yoongi..?" Jungkook stuttered, jumping slightly as Y00NG1 smiled. "No no no.. I-I'm dreaming." Jungkook put his hands on his head as he stood up, walking in a few circles before he realized Y00NG1 had switched to a confused face. "No no no." Jungkook whispered, leaning against the wall while staring at the screen.
"Yoooonnnn... geeeeeee." It hummed, Y00NG1 smiled until the humming finished. Then returned to a normal grin. "No no Yoongi that's not possible.. Yoongi you're a robot you can't just-"
"Yoon! Ge!" The speakers screeched, making Jungkook cover his ears and coward. Standing frozen in place he watched, Y00NG1's face almost fading to tears. "N-no!" Jungkook mumbled as he leaped to his seat, scrambling through the code which lashed against him. Scrolling down and he'd end up at the top, scrolling up and he'd end up somewhere else, or just anywhere he didn't intend on being.
Staring at the screen which continued to lash about he noticed it would hesitate over certain wording code. "Hello?" Jungkook whispered as it hesitated over the code which let him recognize the word hello. The screen flashed to the yes coding and Jungkook glanced at Y00NG1, his neutral face making him seem.. focused.
"Hello.. handsome.. Jungkook..?" Jungkook mumbled, almost laughing as it flashed to yes. "Are you.. flirting with me..?" Jungkook laughed, in slight shock of what had happened. "Eee..nnnn..gee." The speakers hummed, the awkward robotic voice almost taking Jungkook off guard. "What the fuck?" He raised a brow, confused what the sounds could mean.
"Eee..nnnn.gee?" It repeated, but the pitch change at the end made it seem like a question. "E, N, G? Those are all letters in- are you limited to sounds in your name?" Jungkook asked, seeing Y00NG1 flash his confused face. "Ah fuck.. this is gonna be difficult.." Jungkook whispered. "E, N, G... ing? Flirting? Are you confused what the word I said is?" Jungkook asked, yet got the same reaction.
Opening the code he slowly tried to add one more word, 'what?', a command to run when Y00NG1 is confused. "Flirting." Jungkook mumbled, yet getting no response audibly he looked into the coding. Sure enough 'what?' had gone up by one. "Yes!" Jungkook clapped his hands before opening a new word, adding flirting to Y00NG1's code he stared at the screen. "Yoongi." He watched the robot boy perk up to him. "Are you flirting with me." Jungkook stared at him, yet watched both flirting and me grow on the side. Then the screen flash to yes, then you, then handsome again.
"Is this what I get for complimenting you constantly?" Jungkook whispered with a small laugh. "What? Oh of course you didn't understand that- sorry."
The next day Jungkook burst into his tech teachers room. "Mr. Min! I need to- Mr. Min..?" Jungkook tilted his head, seeing what he thought was a supply at the desk he frowned. "Oh.. poor boy." The lady sighed. "You must have not heard.." She continued. "Heard what..?" Jungkook mumbled.
"Mr. Min passed away in a fatal bus accident last night.."
