Three days had passed since the biggest fight you've ever had with your boyfriend, Remus. After the argument got more heated than either of you intended it to get, Remus had stormed out of your dorm. You hadn't been able to talk to him since. Honestly, you couldn't even remember all of the details of the disagreement now and you just missed your boyfriend.
It all happened right before the full moon.
You and Remus had been dating for a few weeks and your one-month anniversary was coming up this Saturday. You knew it seemed silly to make a fuss over something as ridiculous as a one-month anniversary, but you couldn't help it. You were just so in love with him, you wanted to make the evening special. You didn't want to go overboard, but an evening picnic in the astronomy tower seemed like the perfect mix between romantic and reasonable.
You had all the supplies ready to go and had even pulled a few favors with the kitchen elves in order to acquire Remus's favorite dessert. You wanted to surprise him, but to make sure he knew something was happening, you had mentioned last week to him that you had something planned for the two of you. Knocking on the boy's dorm with the picnic basket in tow, ready to sneak up to the tower with your boyfriend, you waited in excitement.
After waiting a few moments, you knocked again. Nothing.
Opening the door for yourself, you peer into the room. The boys weren't there. It was already well past dinnertime, so they couldn't have been in the dining hall, nor would they be in the library. You knew because you were there right before you came to pick up Remus. Your stomach drops because you knew exactly what the boys were up to.
You had of course known of the four chatoic boys since first year. However, it wasn't until last year that you had grown closer to the group. After a year of flirting, Remus finally asked you on a date and it's been history ever since.
Occasionally, however, the boys would disappear for a night and get into all kinds of trouble that they wouldn't tell anyone about. Unfortunately, Remus would often get the short end of the stick and come back injured from the escapades. You had expressed your dislike for these outings on more than one occasion. You knew there was no keeping the boys out of trouble, but you didn't like these monthly adventures in particular. You could tell that whatever they were getting themselves into was exceptionally dangerous.
While you didn't expect them to stop their monthly outings, you especially didn't expect Remus to join one on the special night you had planned.
Long story short, the two of you had gotten into a rather intense argument the next morning. You had felt bad since he looked so exhausted, but at least he wasn't bloodied up like he was sometimes after these outings.
