It had been a week since all your emotions came crashing down on you and you realized just how in love with Remus Lupin you were. You thought everything was going to be fine until something you didn't expect started to happen- Remus was being weird, not you.

You weren't quite sure what had gotten into him. It seemed like every time you were around him, he would get a bit quieter. Two days ago, you and James had walked into the great hall together after DADA class, and Remus had immediately left after your arrival. Every time you tried to hang out with him, he seemed to make an excuse to leave. You were trying not to think too much about it, but it was admittedly starting to hurt your feelings.

James had checked in on you a couple of times, urging you to sit down and talk with Remus.

"How can I talk to Remus when he can't stand to be in the same room as me for more than two minutes?" you snapped at James. "Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, I just don't understand what's happening. One minute I realize I'm in love with my best friend, and the next minute he won't even look me in the eyes."

James looked at me and I could tell he wanted to say something but was holding back.

"What are you not telling me, Potter?" I looked at him suspiciously.

"Uuuhh, nothing, I tell you everything. There's not one piece of information I haven't told you. Nope not one," the boy stammered.

Raising your eyebrow at him, you reply, "Ok, that definitely wasn't weird. What's the problem, James? Why does Remus hate me?"

"He doesn't hate you at all," he replies, exasperated. "If anything, it's the opposite of hate."

Before you could ask what he meant by that, Sirius walked into the boy's dorm where you and James were talking and plopped onto the bed next to you.

"Hope I'm not interrupting anything important, cause even if I am, I don't care. I'm bored." Sirius drew out with long dramatic pauses.

"Hello bored, it's nice to meet you," James replied with a look on his face that made you think that James thought he had just made the funniest joke on the planet.

With an obnoxious groan from Sirius, you couldn't help but double over with laughter. The joke may not have been nearly as funny as James believed it was, but Sirius's reaction was more than worth it.

"What's everyone laughing about?" you hear a voice from the doorway.

Looking over, you see Remus awkwardly standing at the door, eyeing everyone in the room as if he was trying to decipher what we were up to.
