Carina and Maya met at Joe's bar, 5 years ago now. They were happily married together and were planning on growing a family together. Through the years, they have been through so much together, and none of them ever left the other one's side. But now there is a big hole in Mayas life which she has to face alone this time, because her wife left forever.

Maya is feeling helpless, she hadn't rested nor eaten the whole day. She looked dead. She also didn't talk to anyone. She is sitting there, in that uncomfortable chair of the hospital room for 7 hours now. the doctors would come in every hour to ask Maya if she was ready, but of course she was not.
She hasn't been able to talk to her, it just feels too unreal to do it and whenever she tries, tears start to come out. But she truly wants to talk to her, this is her last chance. Now she is laying down with her head on Carina's belly and tries to sleep, but the beeps and all other weird sounds of the machines are too distracting. So she just lays there. Does nothing more. She can't even think, can't close her eyes. After 10 minutes that to her felt like hours, she raises her head, takes a very deep breath and starts talking with a cracking voice.
<<I found a new apartment! For us.>> She tries to smile.
<<I wanted to tell you, but while I was happily watching for a house with Ben and Travis, a car was running over you.>> her eyes fill up with tears again.
<<I'm so sorry for my last words to you. I don't even remember them but we were fighting again. I didn't mean to make this fight your last memory of me>> she starts caressing Carina's hair.
<<I'm so sorry, I didn't mean anything of what I said, I hope you knew it even in that very moment.>>
<<I knew that you didn't mean any of the things you said to me either>>

<<Its so stupid you can't even hear me, this is just creating a giant whole in my stomach, but I'll be brave, I have to>> she grabs carina's hand again and squeeze it.
<<Let me tell you this one last time, I love you.>>
