Jades POV

“Get out here Witch we know you're in here” One of the knights yelled and banged on my front door “By decree of The Prince of Hearts we must eliminate any and all Witches” I stood up from your comfy chair to gaze out the window from the second floor. A tall man covered in armor from head to toe stood pounding on the door with two or three other Knights standing behind him. I ran into your bedroom to grab your dark gray hood, and swiftly escaped through the back door when you heard the front door break in. I ran into the forest without a second thought, and I ran, and ran as I heard blood hounds howling as they caught my scent Theres only one thing I can do now the dogs are onto me, you thought Bec i’m gonna need your help now you pleaded to your dogs spirit that is fused with your own soul. As Becs spirit started to take over you felt yourself slow to a stop and turn to face the dogs the bloodhounds also slowed down in confusion but they were still barking your ears started to ring and the bloodhounds quivered in fear in front of you and started to whimper instead of barking and bec did something with my eyes which caused the dogs to spook and run away with their tails tucked between their legs, and I started to gain control of my body again I slowly turned around by this time the knights are in sight. I start running as frantically as I can running in zig-zags trying to loose them when you There! You smile and run behind the shack and climb a tree. Once the Knights caught up to where I was they started to argue which direction I went

“she went south” she heard one say “towards the town”

“No she went northwest towards the lake” Bickered the second one

“I swear she went east to the mountains thats were all witches go for refuge” said the third on, I tried to suppress my laughter for little did they know I was right above them their bickering became yelling then to fighting one drew there sword and was ready to fight when another knight started to approach but this one was different he was on a brown horse with a white speckled rump, the other knights straightened and ceased fighting immediately and got into a straight line. This sudden change of attitude in the knights frightened me

is this guy really so good that the others respect him like royalty? this was only one of a bigillion thoughts going through my mind

“Whats going on here why are you bickering like a bunch of crows over a piece of bread” The knight said his voice didn't sound like he sounded younger than the others around my age, about 16.

“Im sorry sir we were just having a civilized discussion about what way the witch went” the first one spoke up

“sivilized, you were at each others throats swords drawn and every thing” he chuckled you did the same but softly not to blow your cover

“Lets just head back and tell the prince that we lost her” The Mysterious knight said casually

“Yes sir” the other knights replied and they turned around and headed back towards my broken house and left me to my peace.

“Phew. That was close wasn't it Bec, you could tell Bec was painting  in agreement. I slipped off of the branch I was sitting on and landed on my feet only to lose my balance and fall to your butt.

“Welp I should camp out here for the night I have a feeling that my house will be guarded for a while” I said to myself as i snuggled down into the leaves and drifted off to sleep with one dog ear perked up to detect any and all movement while I sleep.
