Jades POV

When I woke up I was in a unknown house in a unknown bed under unknown blankets. I sat up rubbing the sleep away from my eyes and looked around the wooden house was in the middle of the woods that had a cabin feel to it. I removed the covers and looked outside it was night time. I was in a nightgown that wasn't mine nothing but skin underneath. That means the knight D-dave h-had to t-t-take them o-off for m-e!! I mentally screamed and hugged myself when the door opened a girl with short blonde hair appeared in the doorway

"oh you're awake" She said, the way she spoke was soothing and very proper no hint of slang in any of it "and before you freak out i'm the one who got you changed not my brother" she said as she puts the towels she has been holding down on the sea trunk at the end of the bed.

"I'm Rose nice to meet you" she said sticking her hand out for me to shake it. When I did I noticed her handshake was nice and firm with no hint of shyness lack of confidence she was everything that she wanted to be

"Jade," I said trying to match her confidence

"I was surprised when dave came home with a girl in his arms the way he was holding you was different to he was holding you so carefully like if he wasn't careful you would break, hes not usually like that he is a very rough person and doesn't care about anything other than his work as a knight and Sparing with the prince," the said as she picked the towels and brought them to a little closet

"The Prince?!" I said trying to sound like I didn't already know this

"yeah he is the Head Knight of the Princes private guards" She said Confidently Now this is new I never would have guessed he was that high up with the prince well that would explain the horse and how much the others respected him. There was a faint knock on the door and it opened only a crack

"Is she wake?" there was a only a whisper that jade has to strain to hear

"Yes Dave she's awake come on in" Rose said with her head in her hand in shame. The door slowly swung open and Dave stood in the door frame he cleared his throat and stood up straighter

."good because I have some questions to ask her so could you leave for a minute," He said without an expression"Sure but i'll be listening very closely" she turned to me

"If he tries anything at all just yell the wall are not very thick here so ill come running" she says with a smug smirk on her face. What she said kind of scared me What do you mean tries anything Dave shot her a warning glare I think you can't really tell under his Shades. Rose shut the door and when her foot steps faded away Dave turned to me and smiled a little smile but just as fast as it showed up it disappeared. I shuffled awkwardly toward the window to make an easy escape if he knew my secret. "So what caused you to be in such a rush back there in the town?" he said nonchalant as he took a step closer"I-I was Running" I said I'd be better to keep it vague

"Running? ... From who?" He said once again taking a step closer to me cocking his head in curiosity"From... from... Why do I have to tell you?" I said kind of snappy

"You don't I was just curious" he said simply as he stopped taking steps and walked over to the bed and Layed on it lazily and Looked over at me. The way that his Silky blonde hair covered over part of his shades was adorable. Wow... hes not that bad... NO, NO, NO, NO, NO STOP IT ME I SHOULD NOT BE THINKING LIKE THAT, I mentally slapped myself, HE IS THE ENEMY... BUT HE JUST DOESN'T KNOW IT YET, even if he is the enemy he's nice enough to bring a complete stranger to his house and heal me and give me shelter when he should have just killed me right then and there but instead he held me he actually held me... What the Hell Brain Stop Thinking Like That

"You're welcome to stay here for as long as you want your safe here those people who were chasing you won't lay a finger on you here ill make sure of that" he said emotionless

"Thanks" I said wary of what he was thinking. He shifted his head again to look up towards the ceiling

"Ya know there's a Bon Fire tomorrow night if you're going to stick around until then you should come along with us" he said sounding board"I'll think about it"

"Well I just wanted to check up on you nothing special" He got up from the bed and made his way to the door

"Oh wait... um sure I'd love to come to the bonfire party thing" I smiled "what else would I do?"

"Great i'll have Roses friend come to help you with that" he smirked and closed the door softly behind him
