The Bonfire

Dave's POV

It was turning Darker and the only disturbance was the occasional cry of pain from Jade when she was pricked by Kanaya with the needle. I sat on my bed staring up at the ceiling thinking of all the possible scenarios that could go down.What if we don't talk at all and feels left out, or she finds another man who she might like better, or if she got attacked by a horney drunk guy, or It could go normal and end up Dancing and chatting like normal people, or that's when it hit me things could go great and she ends up really liking me we would go home and... NO dont think like that, that's just perverted and not fair to Jade, stupid Dirk's perverted side was rubbing off on me. Just then I heard the sound of heels walking down the hall way and stopping front of my door the was a small knock and the door opened Kanaya was standing there little beads of sweat on her forehead

"You may want to see this" she said with a small smile on her face, I slowly sat up and walked down the hallway to the guest room where jade stood on a stool with a beautiful dress, It had a striped skirt and striped top too but there was a green cloth that hugged her in all of the right places and puffed out at the back the sleeves were long sleeve but lightweight material so her arms could move freely she had a green bow in her hair to match and green heeled shoes about half an inch, Jade herself was looking down in a way that covered her eyes but failed to hide the light pink tone to her cheeks. Rose was on the bed her hair slightly out of place and her headband was falling off of her head

"What the hell happen to you?" you asked in a sarcastic toneShe looked away "Kanaya happened..." she said as Kanaya sat next to her and put her arm around her with a over dramatic smile. You shook your head Wow

"So what do you think about Jade" Kanaya said proudly obviously extremely happy with her work"She looks...Amazing...um... are you guys ready to go?" You stammered shocked by your own loss of words

" Yes just about let me and Kanaya get dressed and we can go" Rose said shooing me out the door. About 10 minutes later There was a flash of lavender and a greenish blue dresses, I stood up and glanced in the direction of the girls who were giggling with Jade in the back not saying much, Kanaya and Rose linked arms and skipped out the door chattering about that night's comings, Jade close behind them but still silent, Not long after we were walking we started to see the glow of the bonfire and the cheering and Laughing of the bonfire excitement riddled through my bones but I forced myself to keep my composure Kanaya and rose squealed and Stood up straight now acting like the women They were not the two year olds they acted like when it was just them But Jade on the other hand seemed to be frozen in place, I placed a hand on her shoulder which made her Jump a bit

"Are you ok?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows so she could tell That I was concernedShe shook her head to snap out of whatever she was thinking about

"yeah Im fine lets go"she said and Slowly started walking towards the crowd of people, although I was getting an uncomfortable vibe from her like she was going to run on the first thing that goes wrong.

Jades POV

Oh wow, Oh wow, Oh god, Ive never been invited to go to one of these before...Actually I've never been asked to anything but I've been asked by Dave, a guy That Just ran me over yesterday This is too much as soon as I'm alone Ill ruin, Yeah Ill run Back to my house, wait I can't do that where can I run off to, I know I'll go to Johns house i'm sure he won't mind, I thought walking down the hill to the bonfire, It was much more lively than I thought when I got there, there was about 10 logs all around the fire and a group of people dancing while holding hands around the fireplace, I saw Rose and Kanaya giggling and laughing with one another which made me kind of Jealous, I've always wanted a good friend like that it looked like so much fun but because of what I was I knew that could never be. I turned around and gave Dave an enthusiastic smile to try to fool him like I was excited which I wasn't, I'm not very good in public places like in the breakfast place when the knights broke up our family Reunion,we came upon the Bonfire I could feel the blaze, Just then the song they were playing stopped and It felt like the whole world was looking at me, I swallowed hard trying to look courageous, I stood up straighter and walked down with my head held high, Dave walked passed me to talk to some people  only to be stopped by a swarm of girls, So far so go- Just then my heel decided to slip out from underneath me causing me to stumble, but I quickly regained my balance and stand straight, causing a group of girls surrounding Dave to laugh and point at my mess up Nope im not going to be able to do this, Im gonna mess up again and then it will be a repeat of the, incident, when I was little, what do I do, What do I do, What do I do?!! Already on edge and now feeling jumpy, I heard a crack probably from the fire but I didn't care I don't trust anyone there I jumped and ran up the hill into the forest.
