Chapter 18 - You & Me Against the World

Your POV

I stared after him in defeat as he walked away. Wasabi and Honey sort of blocked me from running after him.

"Let him go," Honey said softly.

"I don't get it," I whispered. "What happened?"

"Give him time. Tadashi is still a touchy subject for him," Fred told me.

"But he just snapped at us," I protested. "We didn't do anything. Wait, what if he's going to do something reckless?"

"Knowing him, he probably will," Gogo bluntly stated.

"And you'd just let him?"

"He has a hot temper. He'll realize it soon enough."

"Maybe he has not gotten enough sleep yet," Baymax said.

"You don't know what's going on either?" I asked him.

"No. I do not believe what he said was true either. He must be stressed."

"Haven't you scanned him?"

"I have, but not before he started seeing Tadashi."

"We'd better get going," Wasabi said.

"You're not going after him?" I asked.

Gogo shook her head. "Give the genius some space. His brain could use a bit of fresh air."

"Do you guys want to go watch a movie and hang out?" Honey suggested. "We could use a break."

I fumed as I stomped upstairs, totally frustrated with the thoughts swirling around in my head. Hanging out with everyone else got my mind off of it for a bit, but Hiro kept on nagging in the back of my mind. That idiot. Where does he think he's going?! And he just snapped at us when we did nothing wrong! Oh my gosh.

Running my hand through my hair, I fell back onto my bed.

Stupid.

I covered my face with my hands. I'm so tired.

After a couple of minutes of thinking through muddled thoughts and getting absolutely nowhere, I gave a strangled scream. "IDIOT! You freaking idiot! Why? Just leaving like that? And everyone else, 'give him space'? When they even know there is a possibility he might do something crazy?!"

"(Y/N)?"

I looked up, slightly alarmed that there was someone with me. I sighed when it was just Baymax.

"Yeah Baymax?"

"How do you feel about Hiro?"

My eyes shot open. "What? I-I don't- what are you- is there-" I clapped my hands to my cheeks, staring at him.

"You're heart rate and body temperature has increased. This is usually a symptom of a crush when that certain someone has been mentioned. Do not be alarmed."

I gave out a shaky laugh. "I'm not alarmed Baymax. Just, what's with the sudden question?"

He promptly ignored the question and waddled up next to me and sat down. I scooted over a bit.

"Are you sure? You look like it. But this is normal in your adolescence years. There is no problem if you like Hiro."

I didn't answer. I didn't know how. A little later I spoke up. "Yeah, there is."

"There is?"

I turned to face Baymax, but adverted my eyes. "I mean, he's a very special person to me, and there's a possibility it might be more... I don't know... What about our friendship?"
