I'm Always Beside You

Chapter Three: Reveal, Storytime.

The next day is another slow day. Not even a small case. So Hyunsoo and Jiwon decided to push through the house party. During their lunch time, Hyunsoo told everyone about his idea and how Han became curious about his wife. But since it's a Friday, they could also meet their daughter. They also insisted that Manager Kang bring his wife and Kid so Eunha could have a playmate

By 4pm, Hyunsoo and Jiwon went out. They texted Minyoung and Manager Kang the address to their house.

They were now in the grocery, picking up a few things before they pick up Eunha and start cooking. They also bought liquor so that everyone could have a drink at the rooftop after dinner. Hyunsoo cooked a couple of dishes and Jiwon grilled some barbeque at the rooftop.

By 7pm, everyone arrived. But Manager Kang only brought Han Byul because his wife wasn't feeling up to it. But of course, everyone's first question is where is Hyunsoo's wife.

"Hyunsoo-ssi, where is your wife and kid?" Hana asked.

"They're in the bedroom. She's just helping our daughter get dressed."

"Oh, Jiwon isn't here yet. Should we wait for her?"

"Uhh no need. Jiwon is already here."

"Is she in the bathroom?"

"Uhm no. She's behind you."

As if on cue, Jiwon and Eunha was behind them. Everyone's eyes except for Manager Kang was widened. The confusion and surprise in their eyes were still fresh as they never really expected what has just been revealed in front of them.

When their head was partially wrapped around the revelation, they proceeded to the dining table and started eating. Everyone was enjoying the food, Minyoung and Hana even praised everything.

"Jiwon, I didn't know you're a good cook. Everything is so delicious."

"Thank you Minyoung-ssi, but I only cooked the barbeque, the real chef in this house is Hyunsoo."

Yet another revelation for them. Hyunsoo made all these delicious food infront of them.

"Wow, there's a lot of things I'm curious about now. How about we skip the games, and just interrogate the two of them over drinks?"

Han suggested and everyone agreed. Even Manager Kang.

"Jagiya, do we have enough chairs upstairs?"

"I think we're missing one. But we can sit on the round one."

Jiwon answered with a smile on her face. She was finally feeling free after trying so hard to hide their relationship. After dinner they all went to the rooftop for drinks, Han Byul and Eunha was left in the living room to play. And now the interrogation begins from their team.

Hyunsoo and Jiwon came up last because they brought the drinks and snacks with them. They sat at a medium sized round chair together as they talked about earlier. Now that they were free of their secret, and they're sitting so close together, Hyunsoo intertwined his hand on Jiwon's and wrapped his arm over her shoulder without breaking their contact.

N- Ohhh Hyunsoo-ssi, you're not holding back now.

HS- Of Course. But this is how we act normally when we're off work.

H- Okay, I, We have lots of questions. How long have you two known each other?

MY- Ahh Jiwon, don't answer, we want to hear from Hyunsoo.
