Haneul
I rolled my eyes and walk back inside the restaurant. "Come in. I did put your tteokbokki and fishcake soup aside for you." The old lady said as she walks in with her grandson. I cleaned up what is necessary and begin to pack my things up. "Ahjumma, I'm leaving." I told her as I pick up my helmet and she frowned. "It's still raining heavily. How are you going to ride back home?" She scolded me. "I can manage. Don't worry." I replied but she stopped me from leaving by blocking the door. "No! You will get into accident if you ride in this weather. Stay here and wait for the rain to ease down." She said and I huffs.I am too tired and really don't want to argue any further with this old lady. I just walk back to the table where I sat earlier and settle down there. Ahjumma just went to the kitchen to serve her grandson his usual, I guess. A few seconds later, the old lady's grandson stood by the table where I'm seated. "You're sitting at my seat." The guy said and I look up at him and rolled my eyes. "I see no name on this table. There are more tables in this restaurant so go and find one to sit." I said as I lay my head on the table and watch the rain drops on the window pane. "Sorry to keep you waiting. Here is your spicy tteokbokki and hot fish cake soup." The ahjumma served it to the man who is now sitting at the table in front of me. The old lady sat down, blocking him from my sight. I guess it is time for their catch up session. I decided to close my eyes and have a rest while waiting for the rain to stop.
Kim Taehyung POV
I had to drop by my grandmother's restaurant to enjoy a plate of spicy tteokbokki and a bowl of hot
Fish cake soup and deliver something to her. When I entered the restaurant, a girl in normal white t shirt and jeans walked out of the back kitchen. Who is she? Didn't the sign says closed. "The sign says closed." She announced and I'm guessing my grandmother hired a new waitress. I look at her style from head to toe. Hmm normal average girl. "Can't you read? The sign says closed. Come back tomorrow morning." She snapped at me. Feisty. Now it is time to mess around with her.The moment she grabbed my hand and lead me out in the rain, I wanted to burst into laughter. She even spell the word closed for me. "What so funny?" She asked the moment I laughed. I saw my grandmother walked out and introduced me to her but she choose to ignore and walk back in. She seems close with my grandmother. Picking fight with her seems like a fun thing to do. While having conversation with grandmother, she decided to lay her head on the table. "Who is she?" I asked grandmother while eating the tteokbokki. "Ah that is Haneul. She got suspended from work so she decided to help me out for a meantime."
I noticed her knuckles is all bruised up. "She works in the special unit force. Following her late brother steps." Interesting. My eyes shifted to her reflection from the window. She is frowning. I have a feeling that she is not in a deep sleep. I raise my index finger on my lip and let my grandmother know that she is not really asleep. "Thank you for the meal. I'm leaving." I said as I got up and carry the plate and bowl to the kitchen. "You can leave it there. Are you going to The Royals tonight?" She asked as I put on my coat. "Hmm. It is my turn to be in charge." I replied and she nods. She walks me out of the restaurant and look at me.
"Haneul is looking for her brother's murderer for the past six years. I really hope it has nothing to do with the cult. She is a nice girl but she has a soul of a tigress. She's a fighter and I don't think she will ever stop until she finds her brother's murderer." It seems like grandmother is trying to warn me here. The door suddenly opened behind us and the girl just yawned loudly and stretched her arms. "The rain stops so I'm leaving." She said to my grandmother. "Be careful alright. The road is still slippery. Hold on, I have something to give you." Grandmother walked back inside leaving me and Haneul alone outside. Haneul just nod and she put on her black leather jacket. She walks over to her black motorcycle and wait for grandmother to come back.
Haneul POV
I put on my helmet and start my bike engine while waiting for the old lady to come back. I get onto my bike as soon as I saw her walking out with small envelope in her hand. "Sorry to keep you waiting. Here is your pay for just now." I frowned as I look at her. "There is no need for that. Plus, it was only few hours." I said as I refuse to take the envelope but she knock my helmet. "Stop being stubborn and just take it will you?" She placed it in the pocket of my leather jacket. I gave her a pouty face and she just squeeze my cheek. "I'll buy red ginseng for you tomorrow." I said before I playfully pinch her cheek and thanked her. "See you tomorrow." With that I ride my way back home.Kim Taehyung POV
I quickly stepped away as the water puddle almost splashed on me when she ride past me. I clicked my tongue and my grandmother laugh. "Can I use her for sacrifice this upcoming Full Moon ritual?" I asked my grandmother who smacked my head. "No, you can't. Come on, she is a nice girl. If you want a girlfriend, try to find someone like her." I rolled my eyes. "I'm running late." I said to avoid the topic. "Do you managed to do what I told you earlier in the text?" Ah right I almost forgot. I unlock my car and took out a styrofoam box and bring it inside. The old lady followed me from behind and she open up the box. "Do you have everything that I asked for?" I raised my brow. "Lucky you I was around the corner." I said as I take out the plastic that contains"Heart, lungs, small and large intestines, liver and brain."
