"Jess! I'm so proud of you!," Tatianna exclaimed over the phone.

"I know this is a bit of a random and slightly out of line request, but I need someone to be a witness for me, and with no parents or family, you're the only person I could think of that I would want to ask. "

"Of course I'll come to the wedding and stand for you! I've actually always wondered how things worked out for you. I'm so happy that you're doing well!"

"Thank you! Would you be interested in meeting up in town and helping me pick out my wedding dress?"

"I would love to. When and where?"

"I want something unique, so I'd like to browse some secondhand stores and customize a dress."

"Ooh, good idea. I'll see you in a couple days then. Just let me know when you're on your way."

"I'll do that. And thank you again, Tatianna."

"My pleasure. See you soon!"

"Bye."

Jessica hung up her phone and began to sketch ideas for her dress. She wanted something elegant, but not too fancy. Some lace, maybe long sleeves... She wished she would have thought to save her mother's wedding dress; she never thought she'd need it.

Ivan came through the door not long afterward. He went to the church for the day to catch up on some paperwork he fell behind on while he was hospitalized.

Jessica immediately slammed her notebook shut and stuffed it under her side of the bed.

"Wedding planning?"

"Dress designing," she corrected him.

A pleased simper overtook his face. He was so happy to see her happy about their wedding.

"Do I get a sneak peek?"

"Absolutely not! I want to keep it a surprise," she snapped with a light giggle.

"Ah well, I had to try. I have no doubt you'll be absolutely gorgeous in whatever you wear. Although, I'm looking forward more to seeing you take it off," he said with a glint in his eyes.

Jessica broke out into goosebumps and repressed a pleasant shiver.

"I assume another week and a half of teasing is in store," she said sarcastically.

Ivan bent down and kissed her cheek.

"Undoubtedly."

She smirked at him, and he gave her a cheeky grin.

"Alright, game on."

The next night was the night before Jessica was due to go to the city to go dress shopping. She finally had the perfect design, and was anxious to get to work on it.

'Not long now, and I'll actually be wearing it.'

She couldn't help but let her mind wander into lingerie territory as she finished the last of the lace details on her dress sketch.

'Red? Black? White? .... I can look around in the city and pick a couple I guess. I'll need something for our honeymoon anyway.'

She heard Ivan scurrying around the kitchen; he insisted on making dinner for them that evening.

She strolled out to the kitchen and took a seat at the table. Playfulness suddenly overtook her.

"Ivan, darling, I need your opinion on something."

"Yes, dear?," he asked, stirring spaghetti sauce.

"I'm just wondering what kind of lingerie to get," she asked.
