Orson wraps his muscled arms protectively around me and kisses the top of my head. "Are you sure you're alright?" He asks, again.

I pull back and look up at him and smile reassuringly, to which he relaxes somewhat. "I am, but what about the.. satay?"

"Satyr." He corrects me. "He's not going to harm you again, trust me." He says, his eyes darkening with promise.

I can't help but feel unsure about that, Orson told me he said it was all playful tricks shattering the glass and fair enough it would seem that way, because as soon as Orson shifted into a wolf and jumped through the broken glass, almost like magic... the glass reappeared like nothing had ever happened and the windows didn't just break all at once into tiny pieces.

Magic, I still can't believe it's real, that there is such a creature that is part human and another half-animal.

Almost like Orson knows what I'm thinking, and he does, he wraps his arms around me again and growls out lowly, making his throat rumble. "I could've killed him." He mutters out annoyed.

I put my arm around him and rub his back awkwardly, still feeling nervous being so close to him again, it feels like it's been so long but, even so, it feels amazing when he holds me like this, his natural scent is so addictive, and it's such a strange feeling to be drawn to a simple thing such as a smell.

But I am, and he smells wonderful.

"It's going to be okay, I'm okay. He said he was here to warn you, do you think it's about my family?" I ask curiously, feeling Orson's arms tense around me.

"I don't know, I'm going to see him tomorrow, for now, I need to get you something to eat, don't think I haven't noticed you've lost weight, you need to eat Eleanor." His nose flares angrily, obviously not liking that fact

I roll my eyes. "I eat, thank you very much. I've always been this thin."

His intimidating eyes stare down at me and I won't lie, an angry Orson is a kind of turning me on right now, which is so lunatic of me to think, considering what just went down.

I shouldn't be turned on, but I am.

Damn you hormones.

I don't miss the way Orson sniffs the air like he can feel my need for him, which causes his eyes to shift colors, into the beautiful yellow I'm beginning to love.

He lifts me up with his strong arms, his hands cup my butt causing me to wrap my legs around his waist. "Don't tempt me Eleanor." He says silently, causing the air to shift between us.

His eyes bore into me, and they're so captivating up close that I could get lost in them for days and still be enchanted by this beautiful man. "Sorry." I embarrassingly say, yet it comes out like I'm out of breath.

He grunts in response and begins walking towards the packhouse, with my legs still wrapped around him, and his arms still holding me tightly against him without breaking a single sweat, he carries like like I weigh nothing to him all the way from the diner to my bedroom.

He places me on the bed and almost instantly, someone is knocking at the door, even though it's open, they have food on a tray for both me and Orson.

"San athchomari yeraan." (Thank you) Orson says to the woman placing the tray.

She smiles politely at Orson and then bows towards us near the door. "Alpha, Luna."

She leaves and Orson shuts the door behind her. I hold a spoon whilst staring hungrily at the soup filled with different types of vegetables. "What did you say to her just now?" I ask, before digging into the soup.
