Toby's POV: "Nana, I'm home!" I yelled as I came inside. I went to the fridge and grabbed an apple, then went to the living room. "Nana?" I asked, she wasn't here. "Boo!" A voice said from behind me. I jumped, screaming at the same time. I turned around to see my friend laughing. "Alex!? When did you get here? I thought you were in North Dakota." I said as I hugged her. "I was, but I was saving up to go to Washington to see my brother, but I came to California instead, it was cheaper. Nana already said I could stay in the guest room." She said, still stuck in my hug. I let go and patted her head. "You're still a bean, you're still shorter than me." I smirked. Alex playfully hit me. "Oh, shut up! It's only an inch difference!" She said, chuckling a bit. "So how are you and your boyfriend doing?" I asked as I took a bite of the apple. "Oh...uh...i'm dating someone else now, he got too possessive and touchy." Alex said, rubbing the back of her head. Her hair looks like a Romulan from Star Trek.

"Oh, sorry Alex." I said. "No it's fine, I found someone way better! Remember the one I had a crush on?" "Yeah?" "Well apparently we had a crush on each other, and now we're dating." Alex said, smiling. "About time!" I yelled. I gave Alex a high five, she smiled. "Toby-pie, Alex, dinner!" Nana called from the kitchen. "Coming!" We yelled at the same time. "Race ya!" Alex yelled as she started running to the kitchen. "Hey no fair!" I yelled, chasing after her. She was already at the table, waiting for me. Nana chuckled. "You two are so competitive." She said. Alex and I ate our food and went to my room. We took turns playing GTA 5 until we got bored of that game. I looked at the time, it was almost 8:30. I needed to be in Troll Market at 9, but what about Alex? She can't find out about trolls! What if Bular gets her? Or goblins! She doesnt need to know about it, not yet. She just got here, I dont wanna put her life at risk. I'll just keep it a secret for now. Alex's phone started ringing. She answered it right away. "Hey Ace! What's up?" She said "Your partner's worrying about you." A voice said through the speaker. "Hey Toby, is it okay if I turn my camera on?" Alex asked. "Sure, I don't mind." I said. She turned her camera on, then the one on the other side of the screen turned their camera on too. "Where's Mike?" Alex asked. "Mike! Come here!" The boy called. "Why?" Another voice asked. "Just get in here." The boy said with a deadpanned expression. Another person came into view, I'm guessing Mike. "Hi Alex!" He said. "Hey Mike, whatcha up to?" Alex asked. "Just drawing, nothing special." He responded with a sheepish smile. "Which character you drawing?" Alex asked, Mike looked away with a smirk. "Who said I was drawing a character?" He asked in a smug tone. "Hey who's that behind you?" The one who called asked. "Oh that's Toby, he's the one I was always texting." Alex said "Oh your online best friend, hi Toby!" He said, I waved. I looked at the time, it was almost 9. "I forgot about my meeting! I gotta go. Sorry for leaving you alone, Alex." I said as I got up. Alex gave me a thumbs up and I left.
