『 ᴴᵃᵛᵉ ᵂᵉ ᴹᵉᵗ ᴮᵉᶠᵒʳᵉ - ᴾʳᵒˡᵒᵍᵘᵉ 』

Falco sat on a bench, the constant inaudible chatter of people passing by enveloped his ears as he waited for Gabi to return with Levi. It had been several years since the rumbling and the end of Eren Jager. The world was at peace and all the people had finally learned to co-exist.

"Falco! We're back!" Gabi smiled as she pushed the wheelchair in which Levi sat on towards him. The blond turned and met the two and a small smile surfaced on his face. "You okay? You looked a little... disturbed?" Gabi asked, taking a seat beside the male, handing him his ice cream.

"Yeah, I'm just wondering if Mikasa ever got the letter..." Falco answered, savouring the taste of his ice cream.

"Letter?" Gabi asked, "you mean the one we just sent?"

Falco shook his head as he looked up at the sky, watching the birds fly high and above the clouds. "No, a letter I had promised to keep safe until everything was over." Falco answered, gaining a confused gaze from the female beside him.

Mikasa sat by a tree, her back leaned against it's hard rough surface as she immersed herself in the cool summer breeze of the countryside. She let out a small sigh, taking a small glance at the stone slab beside her. Her eyes travelled to an envelope beside the slab, she had been contemplating whether she should open the letter or not.

She recalled the contents of Falco, Gabi, and Levi's letter.

"Please read the letter attached, it's very important and is only meant for you."

Mikasa pursed her lips and gently held the letter in her hands. She cracked open the wax seal and pulled out the paper inside, unravelling it.

Mikasa,
I hope this letter finds you well and that Falco had managed to keep it in one piece. There's really not much for me to say here... but I did have an urge to write a letter for you. I had asked Falco to take care of this until everything was over and once the world had finally achieved peace.
I know that we had our disagreements before the war but... I needed to-no I had to do it. This was just for you and everyone else and I'm sorry I couldn't stay by your side. However, in my next life I promise... someday, I will find you. That's a promise I intend to keep, no matter how many lives I have to go through.
I wish we could've spent more time together and I wish we could've been born under different circumstances but stay strong, live your life to the fullest. Don't regret and don't stay too attached to the past.

Mikasa held the letter close as he let out quiet sobs.

I promise, I promise I'll find you in my next life, Eren. Mikasa thought as she wiped away her tears, smiling at the letter.
