The first thing I see is a pair of purple eyes. Purple eyes. Weird. It is the first time I see this unexpected eye colour. Maybe I am in a dream. I just have to pinch myself to find out. As I want to lift my hand, I see that something is holding me back. I am stuck on this weird a** looking chair.
"Don't try." A feminine voice whispers in my right ear.
It probably is the person with purple eyes, but I can't tell because I still feel a little foggy.
Then everything goes black again.
Darya's POV:
The cold metal of the chair I am sitting on is starting to become uncomfortable. I have to keep watch on this dumb 16-year-old old we just got out of the injection room as soon as his injection didn't work before, THEY got a hold of him. For a reason I ignore, Luke wants me to keep a close eye on him. I carefully stared at the boy's features. They look quite similar to Luke's in a strange way. They have the same jet-black hair and muscular torso. Their jawlines were both as sharp as a diamond's edge. The only difference I noticed was the colour of their eyes. Luke's are grayish with a hint of blue, whilst the boy tied on the chair has bright sapphire eyes.
*Knock Knock*
"Come in." I quietly answer.
Luke made his way into the small dark grey area where we were, as confident as always.
"How is the doctor going? Oh wait, he isn't going to be one!" Luke says laughing.
"Ha-ha, but only because you tricked his injection to make him join us." I retort with sass.
"Always right, aren't you darling?" Luke whispers in my ear.
I stick my tongue out and make a weird face that makes him laugh.
"Always. He woke up but fell back asleep." I answer.
"Good, you do know that we had to do it, right?" He continues.
"I don't even know why," I say while rolling my eyes.
"You'll know soon enough. Sirius did the same for me because he saw potential in me. Now that he's gone and that I'm the new chief, I must do the same for this specific boy."
"Why him?" I answer as confused as before.
On that question, Luke doesn't answer, he just leaves me with many unanswered answers and the boy in the small room.
I guess I'll know soon enough as Luke said. But what is so special about this boy anyway?
Could he be...?Aidan's POV:
I wake up again still sitting on the chair. My head aches and as I try to touch it, I notice I am still tied to the weird chair.
"Good, finally you're awake." The girl's voice said.
I see the beautiful purple eyes approaching me as I open my eyes with difficulty. I take a few seconds to look at my captor more closely. She has medium auburn hair and big and small freckles all over her cheeks. I can also see the hint of a tattoo on what seems to be her collarbone.
"I am?" I softly say.
"Are you sure I'm not dreaming right now because I was supposed to be at the ceremony and..." I start to say before she cuts me.
"Stop talking. Luke will explain everything. Follow me." The girl says while untying me and then leaves the room.
Who the he** is Luke?
I get up trying to adjust to the darkness of the room. I was used to bright white walls, but this room had dark grey walls which made me think I was dreaming, even when that strange sassy girl clearly told me I was awake.
I look at my wrist and see that my bracelet isn't there anymore. Oh god! What would THEY do if they found out I found a way to get rid of it? I desperately need to find it.
"Are you coming?" The girl says coldly.
I hadn't even noticed she came back in a hurry to get my bracelet back.
"Where is my bracelet? What did you guys do with it?" I yell.
"Luke will explain." She says questions in her eyes.
Ugh, not that Luke again and why is she the one who's confused?
I decide I needed to stay obedient to find out answers, maybe this is all a test made by the Superiors to see if I can really be a doctor. Whatever it is, I don't like it.
Darya's POV:
I lead the boy to Luke's room and more questions filled my head. Aren't we supposed to choose people who try to find out THEIR true nature and rebel? If so, why does that boy seem to be for THEM and not against THEM?
Aidan's POV:
The girl leaves me alone in another room. This time, the room is dark blue and I even wonder how I remember the name of these colours if I have never really seen them except in pictures. Must have been another great invention by the mighty Superiors. While I was waiting, I quickly scan the room. There is an unmade bed in the corner of it. A small desk filled with a bunch of papers is in the other corner and as I stand up to see what they are all about, an unknown, yet familiar voice calls out my name.
"Aidan Koslov."
"Yes?" I say as I quickly turn around to see a guy who seems to be an older version of me. Weird.
"Are you Luke?" I rapidly ask, eager for answers.
"Yes. Luke Koslov." He retorts grinning.
"Nice to see you again brother." He continues while holding out his hand so I could shake it.
