My bar, filled with the vampires that come here everyday or to glamour the humans; a prohibation. Fangtasia may be a vampire bar, but I'm in charge and as the law dictates; vampires are not to feed on humans, and that certainly is the case here.

"Eric, you aren't planning on running off again tonight, are you?" Pam; my progeny approaches me.

Greeting my progeny, I turn to face her and act like what she treats me as: her son. I'm much older than she is in terms of my immortal life, but in terms of physical appearance, Pam looks older than me. She is in charge of the bar should I not be around.

"Pam, I'm your maker, respect that." I answer her.

"That girl is nothing more than a mere human waitress. Just another human that knows of our kind and seems to fool herself into believing that she can befriend us." Pam slanders Sookie without saying her name.

Pam's jealous, I can sense it; I like that part of her, it shows that she's not a pushover and can not stand anything standing between her and what she wants; me. My only progeny, yet my favourite, she is also rather annoying, but I respect her as family.

"Yes, Pam. She has a name though, Sookie Stackhouse and she is something more than human." I correct her primitive knowledge of Sookie's being.

Pam's eyes close up, I've confused her.

"In what way is she more than a human?" Pam asks.

I widen my lips and gaze at Pam with a rather wicked smile on my face.

"I don't know, but I intend to find out." I tell her.

Pam smiles, she knows me and that I'll stop at nothing to get what I want from her, but what she doesn't understand is that I'm not after her for whatever reason she thinks I wish to combine her presence with my own.

"She'll come here, tonight." I explain to Pam about Sookie's forthcoming visit.

"Then we best prepare for our human." Pam; her unpredictability is very tempting.

Pam leaves me and approaches our fellow vampires to make the preparations for our first 'special' human visit in a long time.

"Oh and Pam." I catch her attention.

"Perhaps you could wear your favourite pumps tonight." I request.

Pam is grateful, her face is joyous and snickery, Pam will never turn down the opportunity to look her best; especially not around me.

Meeting my first vampires has truly been the best experience of my life in a long time coming. I can remember them; Eric, Bill, and that other one, what was her name? .... Oh that's it, Pam. For Eric, I know him best, I don't know anything about Bill other than his name and Pam, I hardly even got a chance to make her acquaintance; not that she seemed very friendly. Wait, tonight, I can go to the Fangtasia bar, I can see Eric again, so far it's 11:09 in the morning, I've got until evening or nightfall to wait until I can go.

"Sookie! Jason's dropped by!" Grans calling for me.

Dropping my feet on every step on our staircase, I rush down to meet my older brother and give him a hug. Jason covers his mouth as he lets out a light yawn and rubs his eyes. Jason's dressed in his light blue shirt; every buttons been done except for the last two, I know it's a sunny, warm day, but it doesn't make him look smart and like a respectable gentleman.

"Sit down. I'll get you some breakfast." Gran goes back into the kitchen and starts cracking up the eggs.

"Hey gran, let me help you with that." I offer her my assistance.
